Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Yeah it was 120m I didn’t imagine it

So your argument is that City offered 120m.
Kane is worth 140m
Levy is in the wrong for wanting 160m
Levy should accept 140m
Even though City haven't offered 140m

Ultimately. It's highly unlikely that Kane is going anywhere now as City don't seem to be prepared to pay what he's worth. Levy won't let a player with 3 years left on his contract leave for any less.

Kane's definitely been given a lot of shit over the last week, deservedly so in my opinion but if he stays, he has to give 100% and try and work hard to change fan's opinion on him. Equally, I'd like to think that fans would cut him slack and give him the opportunity to redeem himself.

He increases his chances of winning the two “bigger” trophies. He guarantees nothing.

It is nothing to do with ambition either way, David Ginola never played in a Champions League Final. Hell he never even kicked a ball once in the Champions League for Tottenham. When he left Spurs, he was absolutely devastated to do so. When Kane leaves Spurs he does so because he’s got even richer. I know which player is a legend to me.

fair enough. I can see this is an emotional thing for you.

its not for me.

City have not bid above £100m yet why should we take less than Kane is worth when they just paid £20-25 million more than Jack Grealish is worth.

The fact is the Premier League needs to stop doing business with City they are a cancer to the game and they are backed by an evil regime that believes in torture.

well that’s all very virtuous but you seem to forget just 2 months ago we were among the main architects to break football forever.

The Man Cityowners passed the premier leagues fit and proper test to become owners....

But im joking. Of course countries shouldn’t be bankrolling football teams to give their shady regimes some form of legitimacy

Such a shit show. It's been humiliating supporting the club for a while now.

God knows what will happen but I find Kane's reply insulting. Why didn't the club say initially he wasn't due back until whenever? It's not in their interests to drive the wedge further especially if they plan on hanging on to him.

Even if he stays, he's going to get so much shit from away fans and that's surely going to effect the whole team. City have made him look a right tit and while I love Kane it has definitely diminished his legacy.

The one thing that keeps rolling through my mind is that Kane has been in a champions League final, he didn't score and he's our striker, the world's best apparently. He was in the Carabao cup final, he didn't score and he's our striker, the world's best apparently. And even there against city it was a narrow scoreline. So he wants to win trophies but not score in finals? That thing about losing your virginity to a prostitute is very apt!

And it’s worth noting that it was his team-mates who put him in that Champions League final, he missed much of the knockout rounds before then.

Couple this with two League Cup final appearances in which he didn’t score, and (while yes I can see he’s a world-class player who wants to win trophies) there’s quite a sense of entitlement there. As I’ve said on here before, he is as culpable as anyone else in his own lack of winner’s medals.

Next year City will sign Haaland and then the only club that can afford him won't want him.
He ain't daft. He knows if he doesn't go now he's not going because no one wants

Bit silly to say nobody wants him. It's a lot more sensible to say that there's not many teams that can afford him. I'm surprised Chelsea haven't made a move for him as it has to be said he would be perfect for them, the system they play, and is a better overall player than Lukaku. I can only think they believe the rivalry between our clubs will mean we'll ask even more than we are for him. United would love him but after spending a lot of money on Sancho, with Cavani signing up it gives them another season before they have to look at their striker options. I've heard Juventus would really like him too but they just don't have that sort of money, same goes with the likes of Inter.

I don't think there was an illegal approach from City. It's been painfully obvious from day one that Kane wanted it more than they did.

City wanted Grealish. They bought Grealish.
City didn't want Kane. They didn't buy Kane.

Simple as that.

I think Kane deserved more interest from other clubs than he got. He's been a consistent goalscorer for seven years and was a model pro throughout that time. I remember how quickly Sheringham's transfer was sorted out. He handed in a transfer request and five minutes later he was a Man United player. If I were Kane, I'd feel hurt at the lack of interest in me after everything I'd done.

For the record, I don't support Kane's strike action, voted so in the appropriate thread and wrote a strong worded post condemning his behaviour. This is just my way of trying to find empathy.
Kane would have been of interest to loads of clubs, but very few clubs have 130mil++++ to spend on one single player

So on your argument that a footballers career is 10-12 years at best why did Harry sign up for 6 and if he thought it wasn’t working out then why didn’t put in a transfer request instead of doing that stupid interview ?

Doesn’t make sense

well we had just reached a champions league final when he signed it. Everything’s great in hindsight.

We never if ever make good headlines.

Honestly City are a complete and utter disgrace, with Spendiola really such a shameful and disgraceful character.

As for Kane, from hero to zero with some quite serious questions to pose about his professionalism.

It really makes you wonder how committed he was to our cause towards the back end of last season.

Nothing but contempt for him and I really don't see an easy way back at all.

50:50 with the punters on whether he stays or whether he goes.

Still can't quite believe that Man City aren't going to stump up the cash eventually.

Despite what Pep the liar says

The serious issue is simply whether we can find 2 strikers suitable and requisite quality between now and the window closing. Highly unlikely.

And that should determine any Kane decision, regardless of how much City offer.

Yeah, then everyone would be (rightly) furious at Levy. Right now, not so much. And this plays into his hands.

This is the irony which escapes all those that are rallying behind Harry; telling themselves that he's sticking it to Levy..... It's the opposite

All the while; he's also taking the piss out of the fans and his colleagues whilst playing Russian roulette with our season....

Blinded by hatred of the ownership OR Hatred > Spurs [delete as applicable]

If City don’t pay a massive fee he is stuck here and he is a top draw player. He will have no choice but to give his best, he needs to play for England with the WC around the corner, he needs to break records, not for us but for him he needs to be at his best this season.

OK fine he stays but the whole ‘one of our own’ is gone, he is another player like Modric or Bale, top draw and needed but very much for himself. I can live with that, I can also live with £170m to be spent on refitting the team if he goes.

It really is on City now to either pay up or shut up so we can move on. I hope Levy has given City a private deadline to get this done.

But Kane 'calling out Levy's bullshit' is damaging the club.

I'll never understand how people can hate Levy so much that they'd happily see the club suffer to prove a point.

I'm sure someone said on here once that they'd take relegation this season if it meant Levy going. That kind of stuff is what I have a problem with.

Hate Levy but not so much that you'd happily screw over the whole club.

Also see those who openly want us to lose for 'political' gain.
