Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Wish we would fucking sell him now.
This is going to get toxic. Let’s cash in on a 28 year old injury prone striker. We’ll be better in the long run for it. As much as I’d love to see him rot in the reserves for a year find out the big teams no longer want him when Erling is on the move.
Me too
Even if it meant we were bottom of the table all season I’d be glad to see the back of him . That said if shitty want him they pay north of £150 mill

Agree with you. Ambition.

not good enough that the club enabled him to play champions league football at 22 years old for 4 straight seasons, enabled him to play in a Champions League final for his “own” team, played him in major semi finals and finals (which he never once turned up for by the way) and he has never finished lower than 7th in his premier league career. and least we forget that the debacle against Villa is the only reason we finished 7th and that was directly his fault.

Ambitions in this case = more money and an easier way to “win”.

Absolutely vile and disrespectful to tease otherwise. Oh and we managed to give him a platform to become England captain when most of the country laughed at him.

I’d love 5 minutes with him to give him some home truths. I speculate his thought process is “Oh my club has been through shit. Oh my country has been through a pandemic. Oh many of my supporters have lost money, jobs, friends / family and given up so much this past 18 months. I know what I will help settle everything down. I’ll go to Manchester City for millions and millions and they will thank me for it”

I DON’T FUCKING THINK SO !

The report is that we've stopped taking their calls; not that we've refused to speak to them throughout.

Presumably we've STOPPED answering calls cos they're dicking about and not making a significant increase to their pissing original bid.......
This refusal to negotiate has been rumbling on for weeks. Like I said it would have been easier for everyone if the club had publicly said he is not for sale, Kane would have been initially pissed off but in time he would have accepted it and come back to training and we would have been in better shape from this point of view. Also Paratici would have known his budget instead of having two budgets, one after selling Kane and the other not selling Kane. It's ridiculous.

It just shows how ridiculous how some of our fans are

People saying I'd take £120mil, from the outset that is nowhere near enough & was always going to stay unless City paid close to a work record fee

Top goalscorer, Top assister, Homegrown club trained with 3 years left on his contract, he is worth alot more than 1 Grealish & 1 Ben White.

We have no reason to sell him, no reason to significantly weaken our team when next summer we will still ask for over £100mil easily

He is a level about Lukaku on an individual level and will prove it again this season

People might not like Levy but he isn't an idiot, our & the league best player by a significant margin that means so much to our club & squad will have a ridiculous premium if you want him, we aren't going to give any club a discount nomatter how much some of our fans want to, especially a club with unlimited resources

Especially with the fact City aren't willing to pay what we want and leaving it so late he is 100% staying

I'm pretty pleased with these latest tweets/stories/"miscommunication".

The club are staying quiet. The bullshit story is clumsy BUT it's an attempt to draw a line under the issue of coming back late to training. If the club don't contradict it, then everyone just carries on and Harry will forget about his move to City and get on with playing for us.

It seems to me that unless City bid something ridiculous, Kane is staying. Two of his team-mates have already said publicly that they have no issue with him and praised him as a player (Son and Sanchez). Once the deadline closes and Kane scores 1 or 2, this will all blow over. It'll be like when Gerrard wanted to leave Liverpool and go to Chelsea, people hardly remember that.

Why are people debating whether he’s for sale or not? It’s been stated ad nasuem in every Twitter feed, ITK update, and newspaper across the fucking land that we’d sell for £150m.

It’s not our fault that City are all the sudden pretending like they give a toss about financial restraint and fiscal responsibility.

Here is an honest question which I hope will be answered honestly by those who think we should sell Harry Kane to Manchester City.
Have you totally given up on any hope of Spurs being the top team in the land?
I'll handle this if I may?
No. And yes sell him for his market value. You think the answer to your question is mutually exclusive but it is not. Your being unimaginative is all. We have had Kane for seven years and not been the top team in the land. Chelsea were demonstrably better than us last year and are in fact the top team in Europe. Their top scorer in the EPL got a princely 7 goals. Think about it you don't replace Kane and become stronger but replacing him and getting Martinez and Vlahovic and Lacroix and Tomiyasu. May make the other deficient arears so strong that you do indeed improve.

Spot on, this is my way thinking too.
Kane will not be a good presence in the dressing room.

With Levy and ENIC in charge?

Of course we fucking have!

They could've had Conte but he was far too ambitious so they settled on a cheaper option.

Perhaps Nuno will end up being a great appointment but based on his career up to this point, I'd say he's a good manager but not a great one.

This refusal to negotiate has been rumbling on for weeks.

The reports for weeks were that City were waiting for us to name a lower price..... (see Pep's own words!)

The mis-nomer being that the ball is/was in THEIR court.

Like I said it would have been easier for everyone if the club had publicly said he is not for sale,

Parratici said this at the very start of the window.

If they want to force our hand, they need to get serious and make a significantly bigger bid.

Kane would have been initially pissed off but in time he would have accepted it and come back to training and we would have been in better shape from this point of view.

Sorry, I don't believe that..... He didn't come back to training in order to apply further leverage... Probably because we actually DID say"not for sale".

Also Paratici would have known his budget instead of having two budgets, one after selling Kane and the other not selling Kane.

It was always gonna be a tricky summer..... And so it has proved.....

Not as ridiculous as the absolute shambles of a hand the Kane brothers are playing.....

Look at the media tonight...... Inconsistency and contradiction all over the shop..... They can't even get their patzies all singing the same tune.
