Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I had this row last week , michah Richards has a premier League medal and was a fucking useless player.
Who has a better career him or harry?
Exactly. Like I really do get the trophy debate thing, but I don't think it's something that should define Harry Kane's career. The fact he is Spurs all time top scorer is something which should create enough praise and if he beats Shearers record then surely that is worth more than anything.

Milan Baros won a champions league but it doesn't mean he's better than Harry Kane lol.

Micah Richards is a plank.

I’m not sure he’s as good as Shearer or Rooney in their prime either but he’s certainly in the mix. His longevity easily exceeds Rooney who was often awful from 27 onwards coupled with flashes of class. Shearer was a blockbuster of a striker before injuries but Kane is better than Shearer at the same age.

Kane in his prime was better than both imo and possibly the best CF of the modern age

If Aguero had the legs and had come to the league at Kane's age we'd be having a different conversation as well. He was unreal.
Sure, but those things are part of it.

What I like about Shearer, Rooney, Kane as a trio is that all three of them faced a lot of adversity and rough patches in different ways, none of those careers was smooth sailing a la a Giggs or a Gerrard or someone along those lines.

But every time you doubted them they always came back with a vengeance. Down but never out.

The best of Harry Kane as a striker and the best of Harry Kane as a complete footballer are two different eras, IMO.

And not to set the Spurs culture war aflame but the sacking of Poch seems like the pretty clear line of demarcation between the two.

Shearer's peak was before my time and I am a huge "Rooney was underrated" guy, so I tend to be sympathetic to not putting Kane above them, but Kane is a true legend who hasn't gotten the Ballon d'Or type attention he deserves.

I wanted to buy a couple of newspapers to commerate the occasion, but they all referred to us doing the goons a favour and how H should have signed for City as he was what they need. I'm sure there'll be some club publication which will celebrate the achievement.
