It’s just another milestone. Otherwise there’s not much to talk about other than Greaves’ overall tally right? Why do people keep talking about the 260 Shearer record? Shearer scored 283 goals ffs.
It's like football didn't exist before the PL. Whole generations brainwashed by this corporate re-branding bullshit. Does my head in.

I don't see him getting near to Greaves, but Shearer, yes.Do we think he's got another 100 PL goals in him? At least another 3 years in him probably with 20+ goal seasons.
He can probably get close to Dixie Dean but I think Greavsie's 357 is too far ahead.
Not really, they are still saying with full confidence that Kane's only way to win trophies is to leave Spurs.![]()
Harry Kane's records are his medals - Alan Shearer on Tottenham legend
Harry Kane is unlikely to be bothered if he never wins a trophy and should stay at Spurs if it makes him happy, says Alan Shearer.www.bbc.co.uk
They've changed their tune.
I think City 18 months ago was his only chance to have his cake and eat it. He could've won a premier league, broken Shearer's record with ease and maybe even won a CL.![]()

Well, Deuterz, if you had taken the time to read the article you would have noticed that their "profile" was that of an Int'l Class striker on the upward or downward curve of their career in order to provide competition for Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting to lead the line in the farmer's league. Their attentions turned to HK only after ManU snatched up Wout Weghorst, their primary target.
Sure, I see that. But then doesn't that allow more latitude on the athletic ability of the striker? And bring into play HK's ball playing ability and the possiblity of Nagelsmann going 2 up top.Which surprises me.
I won’t pretend to be a Bayern expert, but watching their game with PSG yesterday, they were lightening quick up front. Not sure they really need an aging 9/10 hybrid, but as I say, I haven’t watched a great deal of them this season.
It certainly does, but I don’t get the impression that Harry is happy to play second fiddle like that. I’d really like to see us try some sort of 3/5/2.Sure, I see that. As this person wouldn't be Top or World Class Bayern wouldn't have to fear losing them to bigger leagues were they to beat out EMCM for the spot. So HK would have to earn his soup.
He would be a starter do doubt but I don't know about 40 goals....Kane would walk in their lineup and be the star player and score 40 in that league.
Champ.
