Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Why do people keep talking about the 260 Shearer record? Shearer scored 283 goals ffs.

It's like football didn't exist before the PL. Whole generations brainwashed by this corporate re-branding bullshit. Does my head in.
It’s just another milestone. Otherwise there’s not much to talk about other than Greaves’ overall tally right?

I get the sentiment but maybe the cutoff period should be post war goals.

Here's the top 30 all time scorers with the dates.
I think H can get top 20 season. That could be above big names like Law, Hurst, Rooney.
Tony Cottee is P 17...surprising.

Do we think he's got another 100 PL goals in him? At least another 3 years in him probably with 20+ goal seasons.

He can probably get close to Dixie Dean but I think Greavsie's 357 is too far ahead.

They've changed their tune.
Not really, they are still saying with full confidence that Kane's only way to win trophies is to leave Spurs.

It's the same narrative but different camouflage.

Message is still that Kane wins nothing if he stays at Spurs.

They are probably right.

I think City 18 months ago was his only chance to have his cake and eat it. He could've won a premier league, broken Shearer's record with ease and maybe even won a CL.

There isn't really a club that you can be guaranteed to win a premier league or CL with right now. Sure he can win a domestic with Madrid or Bayern but I doubt that will fulfill him very much unless they win a CL with it which isn't a foregone conclusion anymore.

World class club after world class player shocker
Well, Deuterz, if you had taken the time to read the article you would have noticed that their "profile" was that of an Int'l Class striker on the upward or downward curve of their career in order to provide competition for Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting to lead the line in the farmer's league. Their attentions turned to HK only after ManU snatched up Wout Weghorst, their primary target.

As this person wouldn't be Top or World Class Bayern wouldn't have to fear losing them to bigger leagues were they to beat out EMCM for the spot. So HK would have to earn his soup.

Which surprises me.

I won’t pretend to be a Bayern expert, but watching their game with PSG yesterday, they were lightening quick up front. Not sure they really need an aging 9/10 hybrid, but as I say, I haven’t watched a great deal of them this season.
Sure, I see that. But then doesn't that allow more latitude on the athletic ability of the striker? And bring into play HK's ball playing ability and the possiblity of Nagelsmann going 2 up top.

Kane would walk in their lineup and be the star player and score 40 in that league.

Champ.
