Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

This. People will make excuses for him but Kane's fear of knockout games is a big reason for why we don't do well in cups.

He is a fantastic player in a league setting. But his one bad side as a player to me is that he seems scared of elimination games. He goes awol more often than not.

Wasn't going that deep tbh. He's saved our bacon in countless knockout games. This is the best Spurs striker of a generation. Wasn't his fault that Richy stepping in looked more like Basil Brush than Brazil's #9 last night.

But when he came on, he did the square root of fuck all.

Kane needs to leave, for the good of his career. If he stayed and won nothing, he'd live with regret. Almost a hatred for it. He's achieved all time top scorer here, what else can he achieve realistically?

£80-100m is fetchable. We then need to take that, plus any money we have aside for the summer and allow whoever is manager to build a new team, or at least a spine.

GK - Raya?
CB - Gheui, Torres, Gvardiol?
CM - Maddison, Tielemans?
ST - Toney would be ideal (6 month ban expected, which would take him to September)

United bound I feel.

Ten Hag, Casemiro will be too much of an inducement.

Whether Rashford will be happy with that may be a sticking point

Kane has missed big chances to win trophies with this club but...

I think it would now take huge investment to convince him to stay and even that might not now be enough

If Kane did go this summer?

How long until we see another player of his level again at Spurs?

Let's face it, ENIC will never drop the 100m+ on one player that it costs to sign established world-class strikers so will need to hope one of the punts on younger players comes off. If you look at their attempts to sign top talents, they are genuinely awful at it.

I have already resigned myself to this. I just want all of the old hang overs for the previous era gone when Pochettino returns. We have a very hard reset coming. Another five seasons trying to get back to the ECL. Can not believe they did not priorities the FA Cup for Kane.
