Haaland's current tally is so far above even the greats like Shearer, Kane, Henry etc. that I'm quite comfortable assuming that it's an outlier rather than assuming that it will be the new norm.
An extremely limited player is more easily figured out and dealt with. The truly elite scorers who kept it up year after year were/are all very versatile compared to Haaland. They score from anywhere, and almost every type of shot, they create their own chances regularly. So far Haaland hasn't shown that he has the basic attributes to keep adapting.
United won a trophy this season and play another cup final in 3 days. If it’s a choice between them and Tottenham in our current state, I’m sure he’d go there if he has the chance.
He would still be able to break the PL goal record there and he’d have a realistic chance at winning some cups, even though there’d be no chance of them winning the league. With us there’s currently no chance of winning anything.
Of course being a winger makes a difference. What other winger in the league gets 20 goals every season? Son got close to him once. Even Gareth Bale at his absolute peak scored 20 goals just once.
About the winger thing , the point was, Haaland wont be turning into a winger, and if he continues to be at City, with Pep, there is absolutely no reason why he wont score another 30+ very easily. He's only 22, so hes not going to slow down , if anything he will just be more experienced.
Agreed about Messi and Ronaldo being better than everyone else over a long time, but if there was anyone in the world of football who can get close to them, I think it will be Haaland. It will still be interesting to see how next season pans out and we can talk about it in a years time.
With no Europe there's no excuse not to go full strength in the cups.

But what if he goes to United and wins nothing? Which is likely. Burns bridges with Spurs fans and ends up winning fuck all, citing further ridicule.
The only guarantee or trophies he's got, if that's what he really wants, is at City. And I have no doubt City would probably land him on a free when he becomes available. Why wouldn't they?
The funny thing with this Harry Kane stuff is he literally said in an interview on Sky Sports a few weeks ago that he wanted to be part of changing the culture etc at Spurs and said that standards need to improve going into the new season.

Not going to happen. New boss will be told to concentrate on the league and use the squad at his disposal.
Oh I don’t think Kane will leave this summer, because the only option is United and as you say that’s not a guarantee of anything. I just understand why he would be open to it rather than staying here.
Leaving on a free is what’s best for his career. Then he can choose any club in the world.
Not playing the cups seriously is part of the reason we haven't won any. If we had champions league, Kane would play. With no other requirements, they are games that he can play in.
What needs to happen is proper management in league games. Haaland is dropped, rotated and subbed.

The articles on the internet are hilarious, they say one thing then later in the article they contradict themselves.
I get that there is a contract issue with Kane that clearly needs resolving however like mentioned Kane did say about staying with the club, nothing gets said of that only he has 'hinted'. If he was on the golf course with Gary Neville hinting about wanting to leave then I'm sure they would have that all over Sky Sports in yellow running along the screens as breaking news.
A bigger reason we have not won any trophies is that in the bigger games kane has continually failed to put in a match winning performance.
Our CL route to the final was largely in part achieved due to the fact he wasn’t playing. The final he did fuck all.
I believe he was, in fact, being intentionally ridiculous but with the ridicule equally directed at Spurs and the state of English football.
