Well it was most probably Charlie again.
Haaland's current tally is so far above even the greats like Shearer, Kane, Henry etc. that I'm quite comfortable assuming that it's an outlier rather than assuming that it will be the new norm. And why does that mean Haaland won’t keep up the scoring rate? All goals count the same and city are going to provide him with just as many chances. Doesn’t matter if they are standard inside the box finishes or not.
And many people seem to overlook that Haaland makes his goals look standard and simple but he gets to a ton of crosses that no one else can get to, Kane included, and can power over/through defenders with ease.
this shit makes me laugh
they're better than us at the minute but they're so far away from City it's laughble
but of course United will always have cheerleaders in the media and press
Of course being a winger makes a difference. What other winger in the league gets 20 goals every season? Son got close to him once. Even Gareth Bale at his absolute peak scored 20 goals just once. You're bringing a lot of irrelevant points into this.
Being a winger makes no difference, Salah was a winger in his first season too. Liverpool's midfield/other attackers didn't decline the very next season but Salah scored 10 fewer goals in 2 more games.
In that time his team has won the league, CL and got very close several other times. While he maintained a pretty consistent scoring rate in the league of 22, 19, 22, 23, 19. He's not even got close to 30 goals.
They finished last season on 93 points, scoring 94 goals, of which Salah only scored 23. The season after winning the CL they got 99 points in the league. Not what I'd call a team in decline.
As for getting more involved or the CL, that's a different argument, we're talking about scoring in the PL.
No one suggested Haaland would be converted to a winger or no10, it's completely irrelevant to what I said. Haaland can remain exactly who he is and still end up not repeating this feat.
No one other than Messi and Ronaldo has been able to maintain that kind of scoring over time. Nothing I've seen from Haaland suggests he's that kind player.
With no Europe there's no excuse not to go full strength in the cups. Now we have no Europe to think about why sell him?
We just have to keep him fit for 1 league game a week and concentrate on the league position. Every now and then we might play midweek in the league but he will have plenty of time off to recuperate.
Wouldn’t surprise me he doesn’t get to play in the domestic cups at all next season. Or at best minimal minutes off the subs bench before we get knocked out by sone lower league team.
United won a trophy this season and play another cup final in 3 days. If it’s a choice between them and Tottenham in our current state, I’m sure he’d go there if he has the chance.
He would still be able to break the PL goal record there and he’d have a realistic chance at winning some cups, even though there’d be no chance of them winning the league. With us there’s currently no chance of winning anything.

But what if he goes to United and wins nothing? Which is likely. Burns bridges with Spurs fans and ends up winning fuck all, citing further ridicule.
The only guarantee or trophies he's got, if that's what he really wants, is at City. And I have no doubt City would probably land him on a free when he becomes available. Why wouldn't they?
Not playing the cups seriously is part of the reason we haven't won any. If we had champions league, Kane would play. With no other requirements, they are games that he can play in.So make him play all the games we play 90mins each?
Might as well not have a squad then….. or being through a player to replace him?
Not going to happen. New boss will be told to concentrate on the league and use the squad at his disposal.
The funny thing with this Harry Kane stuff is he literally said in an interview on Sky Sports a few weeks ago that he wanted to be part of changing the culture etc at Spurs and said that standards need to improve going into the new season.
The media are desperate to make this move happen. It just generates clicks and promotes fans clicking on their articles.
Every article you click on there are no quotes about him wanting to leave, just made up stuff from journalists or silly pundits on talk sport.
Absolutely. And a wilful misinterpretation of anything they hear from Kane
e.g. yesterday morning "Real Madrid want Kane"
I assume someone kills that by saying "he won't leave the Premier League"
this mornings headline "Kane wants to go to Utd"

What needs to happen is proper management in league games. Haaland is dropped, rotated and subbed.
Bridges would be burnt with spurs fans just because he wanted to advance his career after playing for us in all his best years? That is nonsense. But what if he goes to United and wins nothing? Which is likely. Burns bridges with Spurs fans and ends up winning fuck all, citing further ridicule.
