Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Well, maybe not burnt, but no longer covered in confetti, bunting and happy waving people.

His dream is winning just one major cup with us, and he can make the above a reality for his family for generations to come.

The alternative trade-off just isn't sensible. Jump ship and get a plastic trophy and a few days of back-slapping, or stay, fight for something much greater and cement your legend status forevermore.

For all Harry has done, which is incredible, he hasn't had his 'Moura moment'. But he has a few years to do it and with the right movements from the club in the coming months, he will believe he can.
Bro, forget about right movements. At this point I'd be happy to accept any movement. Even a twitch, any sign of life.

Yeah, same. The disrespect is mounting. But you can kind of see why they say fuck all. It all gets spun for clicks. As frustrating as silence is, the overwhelming amount of bullshit and spin would be worse if we were drip fed progress updates.

Ultimately, it’s the pathetic ITKers and trash news rags that are to blame.

He’ll keep him and think he can persuade him to stay. He did the same with eriksen. He thought he could convince him but obviously couldn’t. And eriksen had made much stronger loves to leave than Kane has so far. I got one am not worried he’ll go. I think too much is stacked in our favour however much sky don’t like it. If you listen to most journalists, they also seem to think he’ll stay. Not that I’m certain they know much more than you or I.
Does it matter? We were shit with him, we will be shit without him. Not as if it will jeopardise our chances of top 4 if he goes. I enjoy watching him play and think and hope he stays for another season but that’s just because he’s an absolute joy to watch.

Haaland's current tally is so far above even the greats like Shearer, Kane, Henry etc. that I'm quite comfortable assuming that it's an outlier rather than assuming that it will be the new norm.
That’s because the league has changed a lot since those days. No team was completely stacked back then like city are now. Man United in 99/00 was the only team to score at least 93 goals before Chelsea in 09/10. City have done it 6 times since then.

So it no longer matters if he’s versatile because his team has the best player at almost every position and all he has to worry about is scoring goals.

But what if he goes to United and wins nothing? Which is likely. Burns bridges with Spurs fans and ends up winning fuck all, citing further ridicule.

The only guarantee or trophies he's got, if that's what he really wants, is at City. And I have no doubt City would probably land him on a free when he becomes available. Why wouldn't they?

City is the only guarantee true, but at United he will have a better chance than if he stays here. He has finally realised that we are winning nothing whilst Enic are in charge and they are going nowhere soon.

The funny thing with this Harry Kane stuff is he literally said in an interview on Sky Sports a few weeks ago that he wanted to be part of changing the culture etc at Spurs and said that standards need to improve going into the new season.

The media are desperate to make this move happen. It just generates clicks and promotes fans clicking on ptheir articles.

Every article you click on there are no quotes about him wanting to leave, just made up stuff from journalists or silly pundits on talk sport.

He’s leaving on a free next summer.

It's not as if he hasn't had numerous opportunities at a trophy here. Three finals and numerous semi finals.

City is his only guarantee in this country.

So we keep him, year of "will he, won't he (sign)" and after winning nothing again he fucks off on a free?

He can join any club, even Chelsea or Woolwich. At least if we sold him this summer there is an element of control.

Offer him a new deal this summer, if he turns it down then we need to try and get as much money as possible.

Kane wants the all time premier league top scorer. He also clearly wants trophies or he'd of signed a contract here already . He either goes to United for a fee this year or one of the top 4 for free next year imo.

Part of me wouldnt be surprised if Levy and Lewis leave next summer when Kane goes.

They know they’ll have to invest well over £150m to replace him, and if they’re willing to let him go on a free them that has to come out of their pockets, not fees received.

What if he doesn't want to leave this Summer?

this shit makes me laugh

they're better than us at the minute but they're so far away from City it's laughble

but of course United will always have cheerleaders in the media and press
Thing is they have ambition to win things and show it. Won one trophy already and in another final this weekend. Meanwhile we're getting knocked out by Sheffield United b team. Kane wants the club to show ambition. It's the same scenario as berbatov, bale,Carrick,Erikesen etc. Imagine if Kyle walker had stayed here all this time, look at what he would of had here and look at what he's got at city. Even if he would have gone to United he'd of had atleast about 3 or 4 trophies in that time. The clubs ambition and desire is nowhere near the ambition of the top level players we've had.

Even worse than just losing the 70-80 million or so, when he goes on a free, is what impact it has on our team in a years time.

The new manager would have spent 1 year working on a team with Kane as the main striker, then we have to get another one, who is most likely going to be a faster guy, but not as lethal as kane. A completely different type of player. The year after, we will then have to adapt to yet another new way of playing.

So we lose 80 million and a year of rebuilding, and for what? Just to see him not win anything with us for another year. Its senseless. As soon as its evident, he aint signing a new contract, he should be up for sale. Levy has made plenty of stupid football decisions, but Kane go for free would be the worst.

On the argument of is Kane or Haaland better - Haaland is a bit of a one trick pony, some fucking trick to be fair, in that he’s a goalscorer. An old fashioned battering ram centre forward. And he’s brilliant at it.

But Kane is presently the better all round player. Offers more to the team. Has more of an effect on results. Is more difficult to replace.

Haaland is only 22 though, so will become better and better you’d have to think.

I don’t think Kane will leave this summer. Levy knows we fans would go mental if he was sold after the shite season we’ve endured. So Levy would demand a mega fee to justify it. At the same time I can only see Man Utd bidding on Kane, so no bidding war, no deal to be done at Levy’s valuation.
Also I think it makes sense for Kane to stay for another season and see whether things have improved under our new manager or be a free agent and choose from a wider number of top clubs.
