Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

“The idea that Spurs got to a final because Kane wasn't playing is absurd to me,”

“Repeat that Ajax tie another hundred or more times and Moura doesn't come close to a hat trick in any of them”

So the moura hat trick was due to who?? Doesn’t matter it was a one in a thousand event. It happened.

The fact is kane didn’t play and we won football matches.
One of them due to an unbelievable hat trick by moura.
Due to moura obviously. But he never credited Kane for the city and Ajax ties.

And let's be honest, not all extension scenarios are created equal.

Imagine a one-year extension with player options for an additional two (or more) that includes a 50M or something release clause valid every January.

Essentially writing into contract terms that Kane is committed to the club one window at a time and not a moment longer.

Is that REALLY a better outcome than getting 90M out of Madrid right now and moving on to the inevitable future?
No that hypothetical situation which would never be signed off in a million years, that you've chosen to make up doesn't sound better than £90m from Madid. You are right.

Dropping the England captain is cutting your nose to spite your face. It will also undermine the (new) manager who would surely pick him. It also sends a message to other players that we might want to sign in how we treat players. It’s not exactly as if Danny is regarded as ‘Employer Of The Month’.
I do think it would be preferable to get in an alternate striker this year although, if Harry stays, I don’t know that ENIC will make those kind of funds available. If that is the case though, we could perhaps leverage a threat of rotating him or, with the manager’s buy-in, play him as a no 10 which may slow down his quest. Both alternatives are pretty rotten though.
We arent at the edge of achieving something great where Kane's input will make all the difference and win us the title. 1 extra year of Kane is not important.

We are at the beginning of a rebuild. No point in starting to build something with him in it, only to restart building again with someone else. Its a waste of a season. So it would not be 'cutting nose spite face' but more about building for the future and he should be told that .

Theres just 3 simple options. Sign a contract now or leave now or be a backup. We shouldnt postpone our rebuild because Kane wants a record. The message Danny sends with this is, if you dont want to be part of our future, then goodluck but the club comes first.

Yes

Last season the top 4 were City, Liverpool, Chelsea & Spurs. MU were 6th. Kane would not have gone to MU last summer. I believe Levy will refuse to sell and it is then down to how next season goes. If MU fail to get in CL places then even if we also fail, why would Kane go there. I cannot understand why fans worry about not getting any money for Kane, that is Levy's job and not fans. Fans should just want the best team which includes Kane.
I have heard talk of having a smaller squad as not in Europe but with the number out on loan we will have to be ruthless. With the right Manager and I do not know who that is a few new players it could be so much better next season. The new Manager must be told we should take advantage of less matches to play stronger teams in the domestic cups and actually try a win one rather than playing fringe players.
We were 15 points behind MU but they were 13 points behind us last season. It can all change and we surely cannot be as bad as this season.
If it all goes wrong and Kane leaves on a free next season, I will be disappointed but at least we would have tried and it could be so different next season as this season proved.

If benzema is getting 400 million for two years in Saudi land then nevermind about united or city kane needs to go there.
Who gives a toss about medals and records with that kinda dosh !

I wonder whether we can do a mutual agreement a bit like Jordan did with Nike whereby he gets a % share of ongoing future revenue or something? Or a stake in the club so that if it’s sold, he gets 5% or 10% or some thing unique

We are about to see how much Kane really cares about Shearers record.

It's highly likely he'll go and win La Liga atleast once if he goes there, perhaps a domestic trophy and they're always going to be round the Champions League but he'd likely be kissing the Premier League record goodbye.

The offer to play for Madrid doesn’t always come around twice. If it’s true of course. I have my doubts.
