Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

How much is Bellingham going for?
Will be interesting to see. Dortmund wanted a lot - €120 million according to the internet - but how much they can get since he wants the move is not so clear.

If they offered £65 million for Kane would we be interested? I doubt they could finance Bellingham and go higher than that for Kane in the same window.

Kane should go to Madrid and stick the middle finger up to Levy. He should ask for a transfer and not be apologetic about it. Levy ruined his chances of picking up multiple trophies with City when he blocked his move a little way back, despite assuring Kane that there was a "gentleman's agreement" relating to the issue. Why Kane should accept a "gentleman's agreement" from what amounts to the lying, scheming bald anti-Christ is beyond me.
So go on Harry show some ambition and go and pick up the multiple trophies that you deserve. You can always come back after a few years and finish off your record bid in the PL.

I still don't trust us to spend any money we may get wisely.

I just can't see the money being turned around into replacing the goals he gets us, whether that being a "big" centre forward signing, or several squad strengthening signings..

Hope I am proved wrong, but for H to stay and buy into the "new" regime, is going to need some amazing 4D chess type gymnastics by Levy and the gang.

£100m doesn't score 30 goals a season.
Spending it the way we do just wastes £100m

I would get down on my hands and knees and beg him to stay. Give him a mega 3 year contract £500k a week. I have no faith whatsoever we can even come close to replacing him. And you take him out of this team and we're fucked.

Hiya Gooner!

Do we think the Ange appointment will entice Kane to stay one more season?

I'm not convinced.

As I said in the Ange thread I'll give Ange a chance and fully back him but I'm not sure he will be a big enough draw for Kane.

A Nagelsman and maybe he would give us another season.

thoughts?

Pure conjecture therefore pointless and nothing to discuss.

Nice try though!

Keep that in mind the next time you are whining that we didn’t spend enough.
£100m transfer fee isn't enough,
It'll get spent on magic beans.

We aren't shy of a fee as that goes on the asset column.
Makes the club value look decent if you have assets worth x amount of millions.
When you look on the other side and it's wages, 100% liabilities, then baldy winces

So ...how much worse would we be without Kane?

Kane has scored far above his xG this season. Many more goals than expected. But what if we replace all of Kane's goalscoring this season with a bang average striker who scores at exactly the xG created for him.

Quick look at the goals/xg and the pl table shows, we drop about 8 points and finish 9th in the league. Sure Kane helps in building some attacks but he is also not very mobile , so another striker that presses better would help in giving away fewer goals. So there's pluses and minuses.

We did reach the CL final without him with a midfield of Winksoko. We would be worse without Kane, that is obvious, but we wouldnt get relegated or anything close to that.

If we improve our defense/goalie and give out fewer goals, midfield starts gelling, and some new attackers (better than Richarlison), then there's no reason we cant improve .

Richarlison isn't a bad player, he wears the #9 for Brazil for gods sake, he just isnt Kane, and their isnt many that are.

Richarlison might not score you 25 goals a season, but his work rate, ability to create space for others and movement all make him a very good player. If anything his game is more suited to Ange because his striker is asked to be the one to create space.

If Kane goes then I agree, we definitely need a new striker, but I'd also keep Richy.
