Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

His rise reminds me of Bale. Especially the way he's bulked up.
yes, me too. And that's really encouraging because it suggests that it isn't just the fact that these players have buckets of talent and ability but that our club is able to work on the weaknesses and improve them rapidly and thoroughly. I think this is why we are seeing other youngsters coming through as well.
As long as I've been a Spurs fan (25 odd years) Bale was the first player whose rate of progress really staggered me. Now I am seeing that again with Kane. Pretty exciting.

HOW DO WE STILL NOT HAVE A KANE SMILIE??
As well as some of him doing his stuff, we've really got to have one of his time in goal.

He reminds me of Bale purely in terms of recent form, and his ability to single-handidly pick up the entire team get us a win. As for their playing style, I just don't see much similarity. Bale is far faster and used it to break into holes or pull apart a defense. Kane is very strong as well, but I almost think that his lack of killer speed has helped him to learn how to better control the ball and how to use his body to create space and protect his possession. Not only that, but his vision and precision is pretty amazing. He made a couple of unbelieveable passes today and I still don't know if he actually looked up at the goal on his first one.
It's not just his vision.... it's how he shapes his body to sell the passes. The lad does it really really well.

I have to admit that I didn't think he was up to being a top striker for us a year or so ago, but his progress in the last few months is nothing short of miraculous. Its not only his strike rate that's impressive, but his work rate, the number of assists and how he holds off the opposition and keeps the ball also deserves recognition. He seems to still have his feet on the ground and all the accolades haven't gone to his head. I bet his mum and dad are so proud!

If today's performance by Kane had been by Costa then the whole of the media and football in general would be talking about how he is world-class, worth £50m+ etc
