Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

People may have thought Kane would make it at the club but not even Harry's parents thought he would be doing this at age 21 midway through his first full season with the first team.

Okay ..i admit ,i havn't seen much of Spurs or Harry Kane this season ...but i really dont think he is like Thomas Muller at all ..Muller is all about positioning and intelligence ,...Kane seems a lot like Lewandowski ..their styles are quite similar imo .

You haven't watched Kane or Spurs but you feel you can argue with a Spurs fan as to who Kane reminds him of? :dembele:

I like the Kane comparison to Muller. Both can play as a no.9, but are equally as good, if not better, as a no.10. They both are good finishers, but work extremely hard for the team, both with and without the ball. Neither are blessed with amazing physical gifts, but are both successes due to their hard work.

Just analysing the recorded game. Kane's second goal was truly class.
The turning of Matic was excellent in itself, but what makes it really special is the way he delays his shot, dragging his foot back as if he's going to let go, but doesn't and as Terry spreads his legs to block, Kane nut's him. It's so subtle. He completely done Terry. In fact, I saw do that before he scored another goal. A shot from outside the box. Can't remember who against though. I know now it's intended.
There were a lot of doubters regarding whether he was good enough. He has worked hard and proved most wrong.
I always thought he showed commitment if anything. I never coated him like some, as you could see he gave his all. After all he was young. However, I have to admit I didn't think he'd come on this fast. I was amazed when Sherwood called him 'rooneyesque'.
However, they see more than we do. He has completely astounded me the way he's progressed. He's been around for ages and it's hard to believe his only 21.
He has a little bit of everything. He ain't exactly slow, but if he had more pace he'd be frightening!

Let's keep our feet on the ground. He's good, and getting better but we shouldn't expect miracles from him every game.

Dont want to get into an argument mate...you have clearly seen much more of Kane ..but I have seen a LOT of Muller , hard-working yes , but his intelligence in getting into pockets of space or creating room is only surpassed by Cristiano imo , a very unique player ..hence i am skeptical if Kane is indeed similar to him ..maybe he is ..what do i know .( your description applies to Lewa as well )

I saw Charlie Parrish who was on the pod a couple of weeks ago compared him to Peter Beardsley on twitter yesterday. Beardsley was well before my time so I can't really comment.

When I was watching Kane last season he reminded me of Sheringham in that he was very clever in terms of passing, movement and generally decision making as well as being quite two footed and a good finisher, he also like Sheringham prefers to be a number 10 but can play as an out and out forward.

This season he looks like he has been down the gym, much stronger and seems to have added a few yards of extra pace. He now has become kind of unique in a weird sort of way.

On this page alone Kane has now been mentioned/compared with Sheringham, Muller, Lewandowski and Peter Beardsley.

I never once in my life saw Sheringham work as hard as Kane.
