I think he genuinely has got faster. Whilst one could attribute this somewhat to mentally and confidence, there is a physical aspect to it. You can see he has worked on his physicality and is now strong. I think he has been doing a lot of sprints as well. I wouldn't be surprised he stays after training like Bale did. Just shows what hard work can do.

He has worked a whole lot on it.

He will always be challenged by the fact that he has a high point of gravity which makes him look clumsy and cumbersome, but one thing he always could work on was strenght and quick feet.

Just re read this thread from page 1-10. Will do the rest after the match.
It definately makes you laugh. I recommend you all do it!
:dempsey:

Some of them are right clangers, talking about no control and basically writing
him off.

Oh well lesson learned for a lot of people when judging youth players. Bale and now Kane came good, that should grant the rest of our young guns some space with the fans.

Probably seems faster because he's more confident. He likes to burst past players who aren't ready to move, drive at flat footed/defenders standing square etc as opposed to beating them in a foot race. Previously he wouldn't have the confidence in his dribbling and strength to attempt it making him appear slower. Also like many of the team his stamina has increased heavily, meaning he can run closer to his top speed more frequently without burning out or fear of burning out. Though it could be all that and an increase in pace tbh.

He does something quite unusual pace wise too; he gets ahead of a defender, then deliberately slows down at the right moment, forcing the defender to either run into the back of him (thanks, Townsend wil take the penalty or Eriksen the freekick) or they have to put the breaks on, at which point he takes a stride and hits it. You can see this in the first goal against Chelsea the other day. He uses the tools hes got incredibly well. Lennon has shit loads of pace but thats about it. I'd rather Kane with all his versatility and intelligence.

Well spotted/written. Can't remember who it was against but he did that slowing down in the box and should have got a penalty not long ago. Very clever with his acceleration/deceleration.

His strength has improved vastly as well, the way he held Cahill off like little bitch was immense
