He was brilliant in the first half on the final day last season, then his blunder nearly cost us the game in the second.
Yet we actually won that game 4-2 and you're still going on about an individual error in maybe the 2nd or 3rd game he actually started in the league in over a month or so because he's 'Mason's mates' or whatever bullshit was being spouted at the time.

You'll pick out his mistakes yet forget about other players when they do the same, he's had a scapegoat target on his back for a long time now. We gave away 2 soft penalties in that game btw. Winks didn't foul either of them.

That he seemingly doesn't understand what he is doing wrong is so sad. Hugo was 100% right to call out players for not taking their opportunities in the smaller competitions last season. These players aren't above playing Conference League football, Hugo isn't either and if Hugo was called to play a game he would do it to the best of his ability.

Guys like Winks and Dele need to listen to their world cup and Nations League winning captain or look for new clubs.

What a fucking embarrassment. He's terrible every time he plays.

You EARN your run in the first team or you keep plugging away until you do
Nailed it. I cannot believe some of the players don't get this. I thought they were supposed to be competitive. If I was in the B team, I would be moving heaven and earth to earn my way back to the starting eleven. This idea some have in their heads that this conference cup is some sort of purgatory is another example of the mental flakiness that needs exorcising. Either they understand what the managers are doing here - and they really should given that every kid who plays for their school team understands it - or they go and be a big fish in a small pond in a lower or easier league.

This is their chance to prove themselves. They could even bring home a trophy. It may not be much but it's a lot more than we've seen in a very long time.

We compete to win the PL (or at least qualify for the CL), the toughest league there is with many of the best footballers on the planet. We cannot afford to carry these flakey players any longer.

Little rat cunt, fuck off I used to be quite lenient towards him, he was already told at the start of the season to go look for a club, now he wants to sabotage any momentum we're building he's expecting others to cement his place for him.

Just fuck right off Winks

Nuno left his starting XI from the win over Newcastle in London to prepare for Sunday's game against West Ham and Winks appeared to question the decision, while reiterating the team was not good enough here in Arnhem.
"It is tough," he said. "We’re meant to be a team. It’s meant to be competition. It’s meant to be competitive. Everybody should be fighting for weekend games and it’s difficult. Motivation should be everybody fighting for the same cause and the same thing.

It's bollocks... Break that comment down.....

He's aggrieved that more seniors weren't sent to Holland to bail them out? .....Or just that he wasn't left behind to train with the first team too?

Either way he's no right to look beyond his own performance(s).

He's saying the completely different squad and being put into what is clearly a reserve side has an effect on the players, some of them clearly aren't/weren't motivated enough.

Some of the players will be thinking, what's the point if the starting XI for West Ham is already picked and we've been fucked off to Holland while they have their feet up.

He played quite well in the last game against Mura and then hasn't got off the bench twice in the League since...and he was far from one of the ones with the worst attitudes last night.

Some of them don't fucking care, he seems to. He hadn't kicked a ball in a competitive game in 3 weeks, it obviously is tough for players.

Not having it. Find the motivation within yourself. Play better; impose yourself on the discussion for a first XI start. There is no other way.

The season is 9 months; not 7 days.... That's incredibly short-termist thinking.

we've been fucked off to Holland while they have their feet up.

Which is bollocks.....

The Thursday crew will have skipped training for the sake of travel days......

The Saturday crew won't have had any days off.

He played quite well in the last game against Mura

"Quite well" against the dregs of a 3rd rate european competition is far from high praise.

- No-one was subbed on vs Newcastle.
- Gio <> Ndombele got the nod instead who'd just had a decent game against Mura AND Wolves in the LC.

Keep plugging away.... This shit really shouldn't need explaining to him (or you).

and then hasn't got off the bench twice in the League since...and he was far from one of the ones with the worst attitudes last night.

He was part of the collective failure of the midfield 3. Our performances more often that not hinge on the MF. Splitting hairs about who was the worst just detracts from the fact that he didn't do anything to force his way into the first XI.

International break..... That's not down to Nuno.

You must have been watching a different game to me. I thought of some of the comments made on here previously about him watching that game. Hiding as usual being the main one.

He's an empty husk of a footballer. He got away with it for a bit because people confused his backwards and sideways passing for playmaking. A midfielder who offers zero progressive passing and no defensive shielding whatsoever is useless to any team.

If he goes to a lower down the table club, or even the championship, the coaches of those sides will tell him to grow some fucking balls or he won't get games.

remember when he got linked with City

Not if the bald cunt wants 40m for him

England international innit
Gone are the times when you had lazy English managers making transfer decisions on instinct without proper scouting assessments. 15 years ago we would have gone to Hull, Palace or Pompey for £15m. We will be lucky to get him out of the door on loan in this day and age. We won’t get a fee, the facts and stats don’t lie - any half decent football analyst will reject this fraud if an agent suggests him. He will be here until his contract expires
