White is promising, but there is a big gap from starting the odd game for Pompey in league 1 last season to starting for Spurs. Devine is more of a goalscoring attacking mid.
Pecking order is something like Skipp, Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Winks, White.
Our biggest problem with Winks is how to get rid of him. He's actually that bad nobody will want to pay anything for him. He's also far too feeble to want to go anywhere voluntarily.
I think we'll end up seeing him sat here doing nothing until we pay up or cancel his contract. We can hasten that process by ditching him from the 1st team squad immediately. Maybe that will kick start his advisors into actually accepting his career here is finished and he needs to be playing for a club at a lower level (if they can find one).

It's crazy that Winks trying his hardest gives us a more pathetic contribution than somebody that couldnt give 2 shits about the club.

At the very least they will bring effort for a few games
Surely some relegation candidate team would take a chance on him for a couple mil.
Though we probably gave him a 100K contract because we are idiots.
We managed to get Dele out the door so we'll find someone for Winks. Someone like Everton maybe.
He won't drop to the Championship. He thinks he's the Enfield Iniesta.

Yeah I'm not convinced at this stage that Winks even prem quality.
I mean Tom Carroll managed to get 27 games for us, and now he's in league one when he should be at his peak.
He had a few decent games with Swansea tbf
