Why can’t they just buy out his contract like aurier. Not like anyone would actually buy him from us.
Also surely there is someone in the u23 that could come on for 4 minutes and not give away a goal?

Wanna bet that there will be buyer for him. Most likely from EPL.
My bet would be that his value could be 12-17 mEUR, depending on desperation of the buyer.

Watch the goal back, it's a complete embarrassment from Winks.
Good

Didn’t cost us anything and underlines the justification for paying him a few million to fuck off this summer and leave for good. No loans, no squad player status - do one, Wanks

Almost certainly the only teams that would want to buy him are teams he won't join.

That is the risk indeed.
But I tend to remember that he was unhappy regarding (lack of) playing time at some point in past.
So maybe he thinks he is better than he is and is willing to try to prove it somewhere below what he believes to be his real level?

One can hope.

But surely with this Leicester game Moura and Winks both played themselves into "for sale asap" category.

What a change might this coming summer see ?!?!
Winks
Moura
Ndombele
Lo Celso
Royal
Regulion
Sanchez
Rodon
Gollini
CCV
Clarke

I think almost all of them will leave. That is full XI of players. Out of whom ofc latter 4 have had essentially 0 impact.

But just for lolz - what a squad

-----------Gollini-----------
-Sanchez-Rodon-CCV---
Royal---------------Regulion
------------Winks------------
--Lo Celso-----Ndombele-
------Clarke-Moura-------

:D :D :D would not want to see this team in action, that is for sure :D :D :D

In fairness ccv impressed in the championship and up in Scotland, he was never given a chance in our first team unlike winks who keep getting chance after chance

Agreed, and I do not hold grudge against either.

Just generally when someone does not give their chance means that they are just not good enough and in training they have been outperformed by those who have given a chance. So, yea...

Or a couple of his fans on here?

That's one fucked up vision I didn't need.

The irony being, all he had to do was foul the Leicester player and we get a clean sheet.
You don't need any ability to kick someone.

I've said in the past Winks won't put his body on the line and he does what is good for Winks. Fouling a player on the edge of the box would lead to giving away a free kick in a dangerous position. Which would get attributed back to Winks.

He was banking on somebody else committing the foul or Ihenacho missing. If he had done any homework at all he would realise that he is a long range specialist.

Hugo was not pleased with him. I reckon he knows he's off. If he was dishing out the last supper, it'd be a pot noodle.

Hugo was livid. I wonder if it were Winks he was referring to when he threw his toys after the Zagreb fiasco.
