Tbf that’s probably what the club are feeding out to the press as he’s still contracted to Lille and they don’t want any hassle from them. I’d be shocked if he doesn’t end up at Spurs. Way too much smoke from the moment Mourinho was appointed.
I definitely agree on this point. Alasdair Gold is a solid guy with some decent insights but if the club don't want something in the press he won't be pushing it.

If you look at it objectively: is there a better club than Spurs for Campos to come in and ply his trade at?

Putting aside his close relationship with José, we have the best training ground, best stadium, play in the biggest league (something he hasn't done yet) and have a squad littered with some world class talent (Kane, Son) and young players with high potential (Lo Celso, Gedson, Tanganga, Ndombele).

The missing piece is to identify young and affordable transfer targets in a post-covid-19 market to complete/balance the squad. Something his previous quotes indicate he'd relish.

Surely it's the perfect project for him.

But are we going to spend any time soon given the current economic climate? :avbshit:

His dad wanted a monthly travelcard and Kahn put his foot down. Levy was willing to cut Campos wages to fund it but all in all the deal fell through.
