Its ALSO international news that Liverpool have the same amount of injured players as us right now..and Villa have one more injured....Newcastle have FOUR more.

OH MY GOD!!!! Those teams need new medics!!!

1) The title of this thread is hyperbolic and I said that you're using an incident that occurred ONCE to ellict a reponse that would get people onto your side.
2) You called ME out on how I perform the duties of MY job.
3) I told you that you can't compare some random guy and an international sport.
4) You missed the point I was making.
5) I reiterated the point I was making.
6) You missed the point I was making.
7) I reiterate the point I was making: How in the absolute FUCK can you compare how I do MY JOB which not one person on this board could give a fuck about to a league that THE ENTIRE WORLD cares about and knows the goings on of down to an extremely small detail.

Its also entirely possible that we do not have slower recovery´s or more injuries in relation to other clubs
Maybe we do. Maybe the training schedules weren't right which resulted in more injuries. Maybe they weren't eased in. I remember reading something about why Walcott ended up with such a serious injury, and it was because he played too much too soon after another injury.

Because people have fuck all idea of how good our medical staff are, yet they are demanding they be sacked

Like I just said, people always want something better. Unless you're suggesting that our medical staff are the absolute best in the world at their jobs I'm not exactly sure how you can argue the point I'm trying to make.

I don't think the medical staff should be fired. I just completely understand why people would be unhappy.

Thats a lot of maybes for people to claim that our medics are shit and should be fired.

Thats my point in this. Im tired of hearing people babbling on like they know something the club doesnt.

Haha, sorry, how does that work..?:llorishuh:

I can argue against your "point" on the basis that you know fuck all about how good they are....so unless YOU can prove that they are NOT the best in the world, you have fuck all right to demand better.

Well, because you started the argument the proof of burden is on you. However, for the sake of helping you with this...they're not the best in the world because they won't be at Spurs if they were. Most likely they would be writing medical journals on brand new procedures and ways that current procedures can be improved upon.

LOL.....no.

The burden of proof is on the person making an unsubstantiated the claim.

Thats the people saying our medics are below par.

My claim is that logic suggests they know their job. For example:

Qualifying from medical training.
Experience as medics.
Landing top jobs in the top football league in the world.
Keeping those jobs for years.
Not being sued by players for repeated incompetence and prolonging injuries unnecessarily...

I'm applying to medical school next year. Give me 4 or 5 years or so then I'll report back with whether or not they are good doctors

Also pretty hilarious that you have now created a scenario where only the best doctor in the world will be good enough for THFC for you.

Good luck proving that when these guys are eventually replaced one day.

:avbshit:

Incompetent? Wow...

They may well be. But then so is Levy and the board, and all the players agents who are happy to continue to have their prized assets mis-treated by bumbling doctors.

Funny how with all this misconduct, we havent faced a lawsuit yet.

Take spurs out of the whole thing, we just have no way of knowing if they have been incompetent or not, I honestly believe its more spursy luck than anything, they saved a guys life for god sake.

I am sure they do already, but all I would do is bring in outside consultants once a year to check the practices and recovery, get 2nd or 3rd opinions just like Joe on the street would with any injury, as I said all this is already probably taking place, if it its - then they cannot be dismissed as have support for their methods

Again this is just another spursy perfect thread to create an argument when none of us have a scooby do, we dont know how any of the players would have recovered with any other doctors, so we just dont know

I think if there is an argument based on what I have seen over last few years, it is that when a player is said to be back in X weeks, it tends to be after that they do come back, and sometimes by a long way, again we dont know if that is their fault or something experienced in many clubs, but its a trend I have seen.

Yes but even if you qualify, you could be bottom of the class, and unless you are proven as the best medic in the world, you are shit, and should not be taken seriously.
Oh but I will be the best doctor in the world and everyone will have to bow down to my superior intellect and mastery of medicine. But I'm only 20 now. That won't be for another 30 years and I wouldn't be surprised if you're dead by then.

None of that means that we couldn't get better ones / or that our current ones are possibly the worst of clubs of a similar stature to us.

What?! WHAT?!?!

When during ALL of this did I say that the only doctor that is good enough for me is the best in the world?? Never. I said the doctors at Spurs are NOT the best in the world, yes. I said that people demand the best, so it's understandable why those people wouldn't be happy with what we have. Unless you completely skipped over the post where I said that I DOn'T want us to get rid of our medical staff I don't understand how you're coming to the conclusions you're drawing!

Let me spell it out: I don't want to get rid of our medical staff. If there is a problem I want to fix that problem. My argument has been from the very beginning that you're blowing this WAY out of proportion and making it into a much bigger deal than it actually is. When you come along and start throwing out absurd statements I argued against those statements. This is continuing because at every point that I've explained myself you've completely ignored it.
