How do you grade our transfer window?

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

B for me didn't quite get that magic attacking option but when these kind of game changers are going for 100 million I have no complaints. Thrilled with Aurier and llorente high hopes for Foyth and Sanchez meh about the Southampton reserve goalie.

In all seriousness it's Impossible to give a grade until we see how the team operates with the new signings integrated.

What grade would you have given the window when Alli signed. How would that grade have changed now?

Same when we signed Dembele, or Bale. The very definition of slow burners.

What grade would you have given the window when we signed the magnificent 7? How would you grade it in reflection?

No offense but this whole "who won the transfer window?" buisness is a nonsense.
some good points but sack chirpy?? are you out of your FUCKING mind?? what has chirpy ever done to you?

A picture is worth 1,000 words. I don't care that he's had a face lift, plastic surgery can't change a demented mind. Chirpy isn't fooling me...twisted pedo bastard.

"Who won it", at this stage, is nonsense. However, judging who did the best job in their transfer dealings, at this stage, is not.

The job done, the decisions made, needs to be looked at based on the available information at the time when the decisions were made, not in hindsight.

It is interesting, and not nonsense, trying to evaluate now. Not least to have it to look back upon when we later see how the players actually turned out.

For me, a C.

Aurier for Walker was decent, as Walker wanted out and we sold a player reliant on pace before he declined and replaced with a younger player who also seems more technically gifted.

Foyth is a good buy for the future, and I hope he develops well.

Sanchez seems a bit of an overpay, but hard to argue with the idea of buying one of the most promising young CBs to set ourselves up well for the future.

Not happy to see Wimmer go, but he wanted more game time than we could give. So long Kevin, you were a good guy and we wish you well.

Wish we'd have gotten rid of Sissoko, but am ok with Onomah and CCV getting loans if the minutes help them make the next step and they return ready to do the right stuff for us.

Not a big fan of the Llorente deal, I think we needed something very different from that, and would have rather gone for a younger player a year or two away from becoming the next Son or Mane.

The Gazzinga thing I have no real opinion on, one way or the other.

I wish we had done our business much earlier, but this is down to us getting our recruiting department sorted out (which hasn't been the case for quite a while) and Daniel Levy recognizing leaving things late is not the best way to do things. I don't see those things changing, so we may be stuck with fucking up August for the foreseeable future.

Fuck it. I'm going full happy clapper here & giving it an A-
Considerably upgraded at CB for now & planning for the future.
If Aurier settles, he's at least as good as Walker
And we have a viable, experienced winner to take some pressure off HK.
The minus is due to the lateness of signings. I'd have loved for them all to have had some pre season with the manager under their belts.

A- for me- Anytime Levy upgrades the squad with prime players and cunts off the Chavs its been a very entertaining window.

D

This window has been a fucking waste of opportunity to strengthen ourselves and compete for CL and PL.

Positives
- first choice RB upgraded
- CB cover/options upgraded
- cover CF upgraded

Negatives
-We desperately needed an injection of pace, creativity and dynamism in final 3rd. We should have signed at least one winger and AM
-failure to shift remaining deadwoods at the club like Sissoko, Janssen and Nkoudou.

Expectations this season
-finish bottom of the group in CL
-languishing in upper midtable by December.
Think that's one a bit harsh. It's fine imo, that we've kept Sissoko, Janssen and Nkoudou considering we didn't bring in any replacements. I'd give it a C or C+ overall

B+ We kept all of our key players. We have also improved our striker options and defence. Biggest gap is a quick winger.

B+, I'd say.

We didn't lose any of the irreplaceable players: Kane, Dele, Eriksen, Rose, Toby, Jan.

We sold Walker at the right time for a good fee and bough in a player i tink will be better for half the money.

We strengthened defense even further, added depth, and planned for the future.

We sorted the "what if Kane gets injured" problem, and did so smartly. A proven goalscorer with great experience and proven in the Prem, for little money. Kane and Janssen will benefit. Janssen has time to grow knowing Llorente won't be here forever. I still believe in him.

The only area I feel we let ourselves down in is midfield, where I think we are a little short in the creative department. But this is the hardest role to fill at this level. Lamela being back may solve that problem anyway so it's not so bad, but I still worry what would happen if Eriksen got injured. If we'd have bought the right player in this position I'd have given an A.

Very much B
Aurier Sanchez and Llorente are top players and fuyte sound like good prospect , most important poch Sayed 4 -5 new players and he get it so it's look like all is according to plan
( I whold have loved some more creative power but poch is the best and know the best.)

A- The only real negative for me being Sissoko is still part of our squad.

Good business all over the park. We addressed our primary concerns, and probably strengthened at right back. We moved on a defender that wasn't getting any playing time - and who Poch obviously no longer rated - for one of significant promise in Sanchez, and bought an exciting one for the future as well. And we signed a good veteran forward with serious continental experience.
