How old is our current logo?

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Our current logo is already 12 years old and I reckon it's time for a change. Something like Juve's logo would be nice:

Can't see a change anytime soon with as integrated as the current one is at the new stadium.

Mate, my favorite university did something similar, but in 1959 long before WordArt. This is the actual timeline of the University of Connecticut's (Huskies) mascot...

I grew up with the 80/90s & 2002-2013 version. Loved it. The new one took some getting used to. Whoever approved that mascot in 1959 had to be tripping balls on LSD.

That 2013 badge is more wolf than Husky.

That's been the main complaint from long time fans and alumni.

SOME women said it was evidence of a "rape culture" because it's "too aggressive". I personally don't think we should trivialize the brutality of rape by arguing a cartoon dog makes someone want to go out and commit one of the worst possible things they could do to another human being, but that's just me. Anyway, I didn't intend to change the subject, this is (obviously) a Spurs board, but I just had to share the ridiculousness of that 1959 mascot when I saw Joe's picture.

It's been revitalized and fans actually started putting it on shirts and wearing it out of the house.

Personally I cah stand the way the writing curves around the ball. Feels like something a child would do.
Could have just been straight, or even THFC, other than that I like it.
Especially the use of the old style ball.
I share this view, I like the cock and ball hate the lettering, don't even know why it's there. I also love the shield on our current shirt and would like to see it stay.

Can’t imagine levy paying a stonemason to chisel off the new cockerel logos on the new stadium if they are changing the logo soon...

Gonna be with us for a while methinks.

Imagine everyone having to buy all their gear again because of a new logo

I think trademarks have come into play too. quite often older badges were in the public domain,as they had ye olde local council logos n shite, but changing them enables you to get it trademarked. I think thats the case with our current one (unshielded). which I love. cos its simple and not fussy.
