On November 17, reports in France revealed that Lloris had been hoping Spurs would let him depart on a free transfer in the summer, despite his contract running until June 2024.

But Spurs chairman Daniel Levy had other ideas, as he was determined to secure a fee for the World Cup winner. But due to Lloris’ age, no club was willing to match the necessary asking price, and this left the keeper frustrated.

Football Insider have now provided their information on Lloris. They state that Spurs are eager to resolve the situation once and for all by ‘terminating’ his contract in the near future.

so this has been another good bit of business from Levy
kept a player paying his full wages for 6 months because no-one would pay a fee for him, now Levy wants to pay up his contract
Levy really is a poor Business man,

Levy being Levy - Honestly, what a cvnt. So not only did our Chairman get no transfer fee - He also had to pay Lloris’ wages for 6 month Kept an amazing servant of the club hostage when Ange had no use for him. - Good on Hugo for not making things awkward around the training ground.

Do you guys really believe levy can’t do the basic math and understand paying out full wages is a worse option than letting him go for free and paying slightly less wages?

Maybe some random site like teamtalk isn’t the gospel. I don’t care for levy but this is just common sense. The guy has no interest in throwing away money.

It’s not basic math though - It’s Levy’s belief that he can wring a fee out of someone - whatever percentage chance he thought that was - which it seems turned out to be too high.

He bet on himself to get a fee and lost. Seems to me he likes “winning” transactions and doesn’t like “giving things away.”

My chairman 💪 💪 💪 💪

Wherever he ends up, very best of luck to Hugo. Shame it's ended the way it has...not that impressed by that to be honest, Spurs. Probably the best keeper we've ever had, despite the fact he was pretty poor with his feet and had the odd mistake in him. That drink driving thing wasn't too clever either. But other than that, he was terrific. How many times did he save us or single-handedly win us points with his outrageously magnificent saves? What a goalie.

Au revoir, Monsieur. Merci pour les memories.

I can’t agree with that

Never our best ever keeper

Bill Brown
Pat Jennings way superior

I would rate Erik Thorsvet a better keeper

As for his decision to get into a car blind drunk and drive it , this was a disgrace and he should never have played for us again let alone remain captain!!

If the scum had done that we would, quite rightly, have slaughtered them!

Sums Levy up beautifully. And yet still some of his cronies are here giving you hate X's

My chairman 💪 💪 💪 💪
There are some here that support Levy more than the football team.
Could he play centre-half? 🤔
Wouldn't be our worst CB.
