But, hell, I really don't know what to think anymore about players leaving. There seems to be an ever-increasing sense of inevitability to it.
Joey Barton, is that you?We need to make sure we buy a pair of bollocks in the Summer.
Only if we want a prick to go with the bollocks!Joey Barton, is that you?
My thoughts exactly. There is a reason the French made him captain. So should we!
Hugo Lloris slams Tottenham team-mates for stupid goals and giving up in games
Hugo Lloris has accused his Tottenham team-mates of giving up during matches after being on the end of too many heavy defeats this season.
The Spurs keeper has also warned this season has not been good enough and that they must improve if they want to catch up with the top four and challenge for Champions League football.
Lloris said: ‘This season we had sometimes the feeling that we give up. We can’t allow this kind of behaviour. We conceded a lot of bad defeats.
We have to show more character. We did it in different games.
‘But we have to keep our mentality at the best level because in this league you have to be 100 per cent every time you play.’
Lloris has been one of Tottenham’s stand-out performers this season and in their 3-1 win against Fulham last weekend he was named man of the match.
‘It is always a pleasure to receive that kind of thing but if the goalkeeper is man of the match then it means the team didn’t do the job properly,’ he added.
‘We needed to start well after [drawing against] West Brom away but we conceded another stupid goal, again, against Fulham.
‘It shows that we have some problems with concentration this season, it is not the first time, and I hope that we are going to learn about it for next season to make us stronger.’
Without Champions League football to offer Lloris next season Tottenham face a fight to keep hold of him in the summer, with Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid all understood to be interested in the France international.
But Lloris holds the Europa League in high esteem and is determined to salvage something from this campaign and earn a place in the competition.
Spurs are six points off Everton in fifth place with three games remaining, away to Stoke and West Ham and at home to Aston Villa.
‘We are still in the race for fifth place,’ Lloris insisted. ‘We are going to try and win the last three games because we’ve not had an easy season, maybe [you could say] a difficult season.
‘The fans deserve to be in European competition.’
My thoughts exactly.
And this is how you critique your teammates in the media. Take note, TS.
You don't think there is a difference between players and the manager? Wow.Oh give over, if Sherwood said that people would be laying into him saying "look at him blaming the players" etc.
He's also not captain or manager. Rallying the troops isn't his job and he's not the one telling them what to do and making the team selections.Oh please, read the interview. He was very measured in the way he said it and also praised the commitment in some games. He's not dividing the dressing room in this either as he's not singling out players.

Clearly I do which is why i said what i did. Whoooooosh. You don't think there is a difference between players and the manager? Wow.
So where are all the people who were claiming the players were not to blame......?
