The talk about promoting Leeds and West Brom - they are only 6/7 points ahead of third with 9 matches to go - how would that be fair to the teams in 3-16, who could still qualify for top 2/playoff?

Liverpool are crowned champions, but then everyone else in the league is treated differently? So only Liverpool's place in the table matters - how would that be fair? Some teams have played 28 matches, others 29. Villa gets relegated even though a win puts them in 16th?

Every compromise solution is a disaster because of all the conflicts of interest. That's why voiding the season is still a likely option - there is precedent and it reverts to the "default", which are the 18/19 results. Frankly, this wouldn't even be a discussion if Liverpool weren't leading the table.

One option that has been bandied about that I personally enjoy and someone mentioned it earlier: no European football or Carabao cup next season - instead, everyone plays their remaining 2019/20 matches and then add a full regular season on top of that, so its a super season with 76 matches played from 2019-2021. That would be a blast.

Should be done on precedent especially as Leeds always fuck up with the winning post in sight!

There'll come a point when it makes more financial sense to get next season started on time if possible. If it gets to mid May, there'll be no choice but to cancel the season and declare it void and aim to start the next season as if this one hadn't happened.

Every time this is mentioned, a dipper dies inside. Therefore, in my own words:

Ditto

Have you seen ‘sir’ Kennys latest piece. Not an iota of consideration to anything other than Liverpool must be able to finish the season

and again, the message, that any other notion mustn’t come to pass

’it’d be totally out of order’

the fucking victim mentality this lot have is insufferable. everything revolves around them

people sick , ill, worried .... economies suffocating

void the fuckin season it’s done... wipe your tears and shut your mouth

Kenny the enlightened one should know better
Oh Kenny the man who thought the T-shirt was a good idea...

Sorry what did you say?

Klopp is a massive cunt and the dippers would rather cancel next season or see their Nan die all so they can get their precious trophy. Perhaps they shouldn't have bottled last season in such a spectacular fashion and they wouldn't need this ego stroke.

A dipper dies a bit inside you say.... oh go on then.

There may come a point when it makes more financial sense to get next season started on time if possible ... but that's a long way off ....

Spurs have eight games to play, five at home, if you take linear income that's about 20% off our season so around 100m of our income (it's not linear but keeping it simple) .... so whilst not playing them could cost us 100m of income we would not save a similar proportion of costs because all the main costs, wages, rate, rents etc. would still need paying ... a potential 80m profit could disappear in just a few weeks ... if you think that's bad for us imagine all those clubs who don't start off making huge profits ...

So somehow squeezing those eight games into June, July, even August and delaying next season accordingly, that could be the difference between survival and near bankruptcy.

I still think the season will be void as COVID is here for much longer than we think and legally the FA are up shit creek whatever they do, but until it's physically impossible to play those eight games the FA will keep trying ... not out of a love for Liverpool feck them, but because most of the other 91 clubs really need that income.

predicted peak for the virus in the UK is mid june. Its more than likely that no games can be played before then, or even early July. and all it would take is one club to have a case at that point for it all to start again

the only real solution is to forget about the remainder of this season and work towards starting next season on time. That extra 6 weeks could make all the difference.

If Liverpool get crowned champions with a quarter of the season to go and not even mathematically safe, then they as well as the world will see it as pure plastic.

It won’t appease them, and they know it

European football should be postponed until this point next year, then just continue as we are. Doesnt help us, but it's fair and makes sense.

Then Premier league could be expanded to 22 teams and we just play the extra games when European games would have been; although, I prefer just scrapping it now and Liverpool waiting another 30 years to win it. They'd want a public inquest about it
