Manager Igor Tudor

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

If we don't win against Palace, Liverpool game becomes a free hit, no chance we are getting anything from that game. Then are we really going to dismiss Tudor? Wouldn't wish to use the word fire or sack on him, poor bloke coming on here with the shock of his life. I would wish for him to stay till the end of season hoping to get us through safely. But like some of you saying, no manager bounce is killing us and it may be even more detrimental now especially if he couldn't get his line up correct.

Vinai and Lange would then need to leave together with Tudor like you said. Their mistakes just can't keep compounding.

After Liverpool game would be the AM 2nd leg. It could well be over in the 1st. So maybe that could be all for naught. An unpopular opinion, but I would then get Ange back. His aura for the players may well be just enough to tide through. Honestly nobody is going to come in with 8 games to go and start learning everything. Ange would be able to resume it quite immediately from where he left. The next game after AM will be Forest, couldn't write a better script for that.
Sorry mate but I dont get this free hit.

I always think without context, win your home games and take as much as you can on the road.

But never a free hit, this Liverpool team is good but not great they have problems and can be got.

richy, solanke and muani up front in a narrow 3 would be interesting. the isolated 9 with two wide players hasnt worked all year. bringing the 3 of them within the 18 yard box would be interesting to watch and cause a dilemma for the oppositions fullbacks, if they come in to support then our fullbacks have more space, it crowds the box out but players like richy thrive in chaos like that. lets be honest we dont have the technique to punish space anyway so chaos might be our best bet. dont think ive ever seen a narrow front 3 either.

get the box packed out and get the ball in there and cause some carnage. ugly shit but we cant be beautiful even if our life depended on it with this group of players.

If we lose the next two - what is the point in keeping him?
He will obviously have been a mistake .
Try someone else - they could not be worse

Then the players have won. It's got to dawn on fans soon that it really doesnt matter who the manager is with this lot. If they want to perform then they will. Look at the EL win, we won that because the players knew it benefitted them. I bet when a couple more come back they will knuckle down and start to pull off a few results. They wont want to go down, but at the moment they arent feeling the jeopardy. They are thick, self centred wankers to a man who dont care about anyone else but themselves. Tudor somehow needs to tap into that to get them to perform. It is the only way.

Did you read the post from the Athletic that the players have clauses in their contracts that their wages are halved if they are relegated. If that does not concentrate their minds nothing will. Then just tell them if they are on a long term contract they will not be sold.

He has not really changed anything. Our players look poor and the tactics seem the same.

The players don’t just look poor, they are poor.

No manager is going to come in and turn a turd into a diamond in a handful of matches.

We just have to hope that Tudor can motivate the players either through stick or carrot - I actually believe at this point motivation and instilling confidence is just as important as tactics with this current squad the state they are in.

No point sacking him before the end of the season, no one else is going to do anything with this shower of shit - I'm just really hoping he starts a) playing players in their right position and b) dropping anyone who doesn't perform and replace them with the kids if necessary.

I agree it would be interesting. He has to try something different even if it’s the revolutionary act of playing a proper left back at left back. Our forwards are so clumsy though that if Muani, Solanke and Richy all played in the box together they would probably block each others shots!

He won’t do that. It’s a short contract and frankly the job isn’t by any stretch impossible. All he has to do is not go behind West Ham AND Forest whilst having a 4 point lead and a few very favourable fixtures.

He literally just has to win a couple of games and we’re there. If we beat Palace and West Ham lose, that’s basically job done ffs.
I never thought I'd find comfort in one of your posts.

I might be panicking but as someone who is usually VERY reluctant to sack managers I think Palace is a must win for Tudor. If we can't get 3 points from that game with the state they are in and having lost Lacroix it's a disaster.

I quite like the guy's gravitas but I'm very concerned by how he's already digging out the players - it wasn't the players who decided that Solanke should be playing as a defensive midfielder against Fulham, while Xavi and Gallagher were on the wings ffs. We were diabolical in that game. Our organisation was non-existent. THat's his job.

If he can't get a result on Thursday, get rid and spend the 10 days between now and Liverpool finding a manager that will stop telling these players how shit they are and, instead, remind them that with their first choice back 5 they were basically a Top 6 side, and EL champions just a year ago. Udogie and Romero will be back for Liverpool. That's where we start and build from there.

This team needs something to believe in right now. So do the fans. If that's Redknapp or a video from Poch or even, god forbid, Ange himself - just get someone who will give them some fight and hope.

He needs his right hand man in. Typical he hasn’t been able to work yet.

From the Matt law article:

Having overseen defeats in his first two games as interim head coach, Tudor is still hoping to be boosted by the arrival of his trusted long-term assistant Ivan Javorcic.

Javorcic’s arrival at Spurs is believed to have been held up by work-permit issues, but there is now optimism that he could soon take up a role in Tudor’s backroom team.

If he loses tomorrow, I would just go and get Tim Sherwood in. He’s practically begging for the job before Tudor got it and he was on Sky Sports yesterday talking like he wants to be manager again

I know we don’t really take him too seriously, but he is a genuine leader, got problematic players like Adebayor on side and didn’t have a bad record

If he loses tomorrow then things are really bad considering the match is Thursday!
