Manager Igor Tudor

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Im backing the decision, clearly has a record of getting teams out of the shit.

I just dont want us to do the spursy thing and appoint him permanently in the summer after a barnstorming spell. The evidence is clear to see that in a permanent role, he cannot sustain what he did as interim.

Yeah.
I never got the desire of some to bring an ex Spurs man in to try dig us out of the hole.
For me, that was the last thing we needed.
We need somebody with no previous connection to the club to come in and kick the shit out of the loser mentality that's been permeating from top to bottom.

100 times this.

Some suggested the near octogenarian Redknapp, I have read Defoe and Dawson, also Robbie Keane, all eminently great in their day, (before i had a single grey hair) but ask yourself this why aren't any of the above at Wolves, Pikey's, Forest or Burnley right now?

We have hired a manager short term, he is experienced at three big European clubs, has a firm understanding of tactics, systems, (rigid) is a disciplinarian and astute.

If he can repeat his initial results at Juve, Galatasaray, Marseille, and Lazio (which is all we need from him) then we will be safe with games to spare.

I will say one thing though.

As a general unknown what a game and opportunity to announce yourself. Get a win over that lot given where both clubs are. He'd be off to a flying start.

We will find out in the first 20 minutes of that game if he's got the players on board. Absolutely no excuse whatsoever to not be bang up for it. The players have to be held accountable if not. Dock them wages or whatever. They have it too easy!

You'd expect, being in a 2 horse race type of situation for most of his career that he'd have won maybe 3 or 4 trophies, I mean Marsellie pre PSG wonga along with top jobs in Italy, maybe even 2 trophies?

Nope, 1 trophy the croat cup 12 years ago.
Weird post.

He took over at Marseille deep into the PSG dominance in a year where they were a total mess and French pundits predicted them to come 5th. He exceeded expectations and got them 3rd.

Don't really see any other '2 horse race' situations beyond maybe Galatasaray where he also took over mid-season when they were a mess. Juve were also well off the pace when he took over and haven't been dominant in Italy for ages - they've won 1 trophy in 5 years.

And still have a shot at the CL, or progressing further at least, which will help Poch's transfer budget (if he comes).
