Manager Igor Tudor

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

9th richest club in the world and they've dragged the club that far into the mud that many fans (not their fault and it's understandable)are considering this a good appointment for our club. It shows just how fucked we are that they have so many scrapping around for crumbs of confidence. Fuck these parasites.

Who would you have hired?

In the middle of February?

On a short term contract?

Come on tell us all!

I feel like managerial appointments just can't be predicted and you could pluck any manager out of the air and the odds of them succeeding are a coin toss.

Look at the long list of elite managers we've had who were not good enough.

I must register my worry here after reading what they describe as his style of play.

Aggressive, running all the time, pressing all the time?????

half the team is injured, the remaining are either suspended or mostly lazy as a snail.

We need points, not killing the remaining players within 2 matches.

Of course all media talk, but it jut got me worried if true,

Anyway, we should have gotten Harry in, but let's get behind this guy and just get the job done.
I would have loved it if Harry had come back. You only have to listen to him on TalkSport to know that he's still got the ability to influence and motivate people.

I'll never forget the moment when I turned on the radio to find that Ramos had been sacked and that Harry was going to be in charge for the match against Bolton later that day. Everything changed instantly and we won 2-0.

We need that sort of inspiration at the club more than ever.

I'm feeling concerned by what I consider to be the obvious.

He has zero experience of Premier League relegation fights, zero experience of Tottenham, and a worse CV than our past managers.

How hard was it to get De Zerbi?

De Zerbi will not take another job this season.

Fat Sam has numerous experiences of relegation fights, how could we have been so stupid as to overlook the fat cunt?

Someone on here genuinely said they'd prefer Sam and his pint of wine over Tudor.

He last managed 5 years ago and he got relegated in his last 2 'survival' jobs.

Mental.

If you really really squint maybe you can make a case for 'Arry if you just had him as the motivator and let some young coaches do most of the work. Something like O'Neil at Celtic. But that's also a colossal risk given his age and time out of the game, especially given how competitive and tactical the PL is these days. Certainly more risky than Tudor imo.

Weird post.

He took over at Marseille deep into the PSG dominance in a year where they were a total mess and French pundits predicted them to come 5th. He exceeded expectations and got them 3rd.

Don't really see any other '2 horse race' situations beyond maybe Galatasaray where he also took over mid-season when they were a mess. Juve were also well off the pace when he took over and haven't been dominant in Italy for ages - they've won 1 trophy in 5 years.
Really? we beat his Marseilles 4 years ago, before PSG decided to spend a billion a yr, Cant win anything with Juve, then try with Galatasary, I mean thats a fuckin 1 horse race, perhaps, just perhaps he was the problem.

What are you talking about? PSG literally had Messi and Neymar four years ago - they've been splashing the cash for a decade - and he took over Juve when they were a shitshow.

Gala's literally the only one that vaguely fits the bill and even they were rubbish when he came in.

I'm not exactly excited by Tudor but let's at least be fair to the guy.

Igor, a perfect fit our Frankenstein squad.

It was written in the stars.
is he? i don't know much about him.

i like that he is about energetic, attacking football, but do worry our squad is too injured to be able to do much of that.

he does seem like a stoic figure though, hopefully provides the leadership we need to see ourselves through this period.

i'm not sure there were many good choices. this seems a bit out of left-field though.

That'd be the year they got tonked by Lens, monaco, lorient, Rennes and slapped about by Bayern?

I'd love this guy to pull of some wonderpets stuff, but come on. I'm really trying to not be la llorona but fuck me, trying to pretend he's other than a loser is going to take some re-writing.

Finished 3rd with a wonky squad that was predicted to come 5th and won 7 of his first 9 games. If nothing else he tends to start well at clubs which is all we need.

He's not a winner but he's basically a short term specialist that's done a decent job as interim a bunch of times.

Feels to me like people are just looking at excuses to shit on him cos they'd never heard of him. All the other options were shit anyway - feels like (one of) the best of a bad bunch to me. Did people honestly think we were gonna get a quality manager to come in as interim?
