We need a winner to put rocket fuel up these mercenaries. Give him licence to gut the squad and burn all the dead wood. Only winners with passion and desire from now on in.

Conte.

Ten Haag or Conte would be nice. Can't see either of them getting it as both allegedly rejected in the summer.

If it's another Portugueser then there is obviously something going on with us and Mendes that isn't particularly healthy.

I reckon Potter is the best fit for a long term rebuild with a real tactical identity. I just don't see him leaving Brighton mid season, and he may well have more lucrative options as well.

Everyone I want there is no chance that they will come- Poch, ETH, Conte, Potter.

I think the only realistic options there would be Parker, Gallardo, Favre and Valverde and even them I am not confident they would come.

I will say Gallardo because he has the best mix of playing style, profile and availability, but I still don't think that he would come.

I think fans of random , average Portuguese managers will be delighted.

Not convinced he's on the brink of being sacked yet, though. Will probably take a ECL defeat and another league defeat.
