Belgium care about us far more than we care about them.

It’s different when you’re punching down. Scotland are a small country of 5 million and football is their second sport. It would be weird if I was punching down on Belgium but at least football is their first sport.

But I only said the game was rubbish, and that I don't particularly rate either. Scotland are improving, but still have no strikers of decent ability, so won't really get anywhere. Croatia have a few top players but clearly peaked as a team 6 or so years ago. Like Scotland, they have a serious lack of quality up front.

Guess I can't forget the build up to the game from a couple of years ago when all of their fans were really excitable after going on a good run and were adamant they were going to beat us at Hampden Park, but ultimately got schooled. But then the tune suddenly changed to "It's only a friendly, it doesn't really count".

Erm, football is by far their first sport. Its way more popular in Scotland than rugby.

Scotland and England are rivals for reasons that are very obvious which go beyond whether they are shit or not.

“Real football people” know not such a thing as a friendly between “The Auld Enemy”….

17 year old Vuskovic played another 90 mins as Croatia u21's lost 1-0 to Georgia - not helped by Croatia GK being sent off in 61 mins but they had conceded an own goal by that time too.

Just sitting in an airport bar, watching Norway and Kazakhstan, can't say enjoying it that much, as I don't give a monkey's who wins. The modern game is full of cynical fouls, feigning injuries and overpaid wusses.
Just confirmation that I'm only into football because of Spurs.
(Yes the old dear is having another rant!)

The first 3 Spurs players have completed their international duties tonight :

Vicario - Played once this break, 90 mins tonight
Udogie - Played twice this break, 21 mins last Tuesday and 7 mins tonight. A total of 28 mins
Solanke - Played once this break, 16 mins tonight.

Italian football not impressed with Vicario at set pieces.

Vicario 4 – Another issue caused by a corner after two minutes for the Tottenham goalkeeper. Then an own-goal after a sweetly-struck Lucas Digne free-kick hit him on the rebound. Though it was always destined for the net, the Italy ‘keeper was a little across his line.

Wow....

When we break 'em, they stay broken, don't they?

Finding fault for Vicario from this free kick is incredibly harah - Streamff - Easy video sharing

However when you concede 3, you’re not exactly going to get an 8.

I don’t think Vicario is to blame. Rabiot is very tall and won headers in spaces where you wouldn’t expect the keeper to claim the ball.

Good result for Wales away against Turkey. 0-0 and still unbeaten under Bellamy.

Hoping for a win against Iceland tomorrow night. Should be a good game - going to it so gonna have a few beers. In the Canton end with the regulars so should be good crack.
