Is Top 4 Gone?

Our focus still needs to be the top 4. We can't relax ourselves knowing 5th might be enough. I'm sure Mourinho will get this message through to the players.

Not necessarily the CAS would need a request from City to suspend the ban, as with Chelsea's transfer ban this might not happen, so even when it was under appeal Chelsea were still banned ... having the ban suspended allows the cheating club to just buy around the issue, the very reason UEFA waited until the January window closed was to stop that happening. Suspending the ban defeats that purpose any attempt would not play well for City with the CAS.

City's problem is that whilst they ignored all UEFA's requests for information claiming clear bias, they can't do that with the CAS, maybe just appealing the severity whilst admitting the issues will be the way for them to go ... might get away with only one year if they do that. If they open their books UEFA and the EPL will get to see all the dirty dealings ... City almost certainly won't want that.
Although in Madrid's case it was suspended and then implemented a year later. In Atleti's too I think, though I'm not so sure in that case

Fair play, always gonna be a day
They were gonna throw it back to you.
Bye now, you should've somehow
realised what you're not to do

We don't believe the governing bodies
Like the way you deal with that cash cow.

Don't bleat, the word is on the street
that the pile at your heart is out.
We're sure you heard it all before
So we never really had a doubt

We don't believe the governing bodies
Like the way you deal with that cash cow.

And all the deals your daddy did are binding
And all the dodgy cheques you wrote we're finding
There are many things that we would like to say to you
So let's start now...

'Cause Baby
You're gonna be the ones that save me
'Cause after all
It's not football

Today is gonna be the day UEFA served the doping papers to you,
By no you should of somehow realised doping wasn't the legal thing to do,
We don't believe that anybody trusts the things you do, somehow,
We said maybe, Uefa rules are gonna be the thing that saves me,
Cause after all, your money doping ruins football

I'm uneasy that this premature gloating of the goon's demise is going to come back to bite us severely. Six points is a decent gap with two games to go. People need to remember their history.
Agree.
Arse are not winning games but they ain't losing them either. Only 2 losses in their last 10. (Unbeaten in 5).
If Son was playing for them they would be top 4 easy.
I haven't written them off for sure.

Wonder if the manager and player bonuses say "finish in the top four" or "qualify for the CL" bet there were a few agents checking the fine print this morning ......

Redknapp's was qualify

Part of the fall out was he said he should get the bonus as it wasn't his fault Chelsea won the CL....when it was clearly his fault we didn't finish 3rd

In November last year Cas announced City's appeal to halt Uefa's FFP investigation was "inadmissible" because Uefa's Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) had not yet determined what, if any, punishment the club should face if found guilty of breaching spending controls.

The full appeal judgement shows that City argued that a decision by the CFCB investigatory chamber to refer the case to its adjudicatory chamber had been taken "improperly and prematurely".

Looks like the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) are already pretty much up to date with ManCity…...which means City;s appeal might well be heard and decided within say 3 months (ie before qualifying rounds for next seasons CL start)

Doesn't that depend on when they launch the appeal.
They could wait till the last minute, in the hope that eufa will let them take part during the appeal

Interesting story coming out of the EPL meeting, seems the EPL are a bit pissed with an EPL club getting such a huge ban when other European sides simply get a slapped wrist .... a proposal was put forward to make any EPL points deduction coincide with any UEFA ban so it has no extra impact, word is it might even be applied this season.
