Player James Maddison

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

No tail chasing. Bergvall is not a 10 in my lineup He is part of a sitting cm2. He stays central with bentancur covering the porro going forwards.

All I was doing was showing how the team would look and the positions taken in attacking phases, that's all.
I reposted the lineup in a way that made it easier for you to understand the lineup in a simple fashion just as sky sports would pre match. You are taking it waaaaay overboard.

I was originally asked how a formation would look with 2 players that are by default number 10's (maddison and eze). I did exactly that by placing him inside left alongside maddison with brennan and solanke infront.

Lastly there is absolutely nothing to say that a number 10 in modern football has to play centrally and right behind the striker. Many many numbers 10s have played off to one side in off the wide areas, david Silva probably being a prime example that springs to mind.

🙃

Crack on fella......

City for a start when they play bernardo off the right, chelsea have done too.

What do you mean is that a 4231? I said that's what it looks like in possession!!!! It's a 4231 but when we are attacking players have different roles.
Under poch when dier played cm what was our formation? A 4231, correct? then when we had the ball dier would drop into cb right? Correct? yet it was still a 4231 it just charged depending on the situation.
These aren't puppets on a bit of string stuck on a patch of turf.

Udogie would stay back almost making a back 3 covering the left channel, not a double pivot.

You're either misunderstanding, or have a very basic football brain.

Edit: and by 10's I mean in terms of player profiles, not the actual position taken up on the pitch. Eze can play tucked in off the left as a second 10, infact I'm sure maddison has in the past for Leicester.
When what you describe looks absolutely nothing like what you present in the graphic (which shows a unique 22222 formation) and then have the gall of calling someone else out who like i think most people, cannot understand your total mess of a graphic, I think you need to have a word with yourself and understand where the problem is coming from, and it is not from Airfixs lack of basic football understanding

It's pretty simple really. The formation is a 4231 on paper.
However when the match is being played and we are attacking it changes and is no longer a 4231 but instead looking more like what I posted.

I mean c'mon is it really that difficult to grasp?

If I showed u a graphic of a teams average positions when they were attacking do u really think it would look like a perfectly layed out 4231? (Let's say its a team that plays 4231)
Of coarse not it never does, different player have different roles.

Nevermind
