Player James Maddison

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He plays like a petulant child. So easy to get into this guys head.

Was better in the second half but man has he been bang average since he returned from injury.

I'm hoping he's one for the big games and he steps it up big time for this run in. I reckon he will.

Since he's returned from injury we've played

Brentford
Everton
Brighton
Wolves
Palace
Villa
Fulham
Luton
Ham
Not

All of them bar Brighton played ultra low block Conte footy against us . We were at the start we were a bit of an unknown and teams weren't so cowardly v us.

Now the next 5 games won't be like that at all. So be interesting to see how he and the team in general does against teams really pressing, committing players and attacking

Lo celso should start the next game ahead of him. Has shown absolutely nothing since he's come back. If he doesn't pick up soon he'll lose his England spot and won't be making the euro squad with the amount of attacking talent that's producing at the moment.

Great post.

I doubt it.

I like him. Good player who seemed like a ateal and totally at ease with the demand.

Since his injury or added focus, hasn't been convincing but still important.

Today got lucky. I expected him to be sent off.

hes emotional, its the same when a team mate lets him down with a shit pass he shows his frustration. i think thats part of what makes him a good player tho. he does need to wise up though and not let people wind him up so easily. he will be targeted by other shithouses if they think they can get him to react.

He was always a bit of a wankhorn. I wasn't actually all that keen on us signing him, and his creativity has disappointed me a bit - or lived up to what I thought - that it was a bit overrated- but his work on and off the ball and his tactical awareness has actually impressed me.

I don't think he's got much worse, I just think, because Sarr isn't the type of player with vision, or to create much, everything we do against the deep block goes through Maddison and teams are just sticking a guy on him most of the time, knowing that if they stop him they stop us, and he's not quite good enough to produce under that type of pressure, like the very top players are.

This is why we desperately need another creative 8 type who can play with Maddison, so our play isn't quite so predictable.

Initially I thought him lucky but after watching Keane and redknapp speak about it I think they are right. If you can dish it out you have to be able to take it and it’s obvious Yates can’t.

That Yates is a twat, stayed down lying on the floor when his team were under attack and nearly conceded, more interested in getting Maddison sent off than actually defending, he was like that in the first match as well.

He's lucky he didn't get a 2nd yellow for dissent after he asked for VAR, he should have.

Yes, the same Yates who got away with kicking us to bits in the reverse fixture, including one particularly nasty spell where Sonny was lying on the ground copping it from a few of them.

Fake hardman. Wish he'd actually been bodied.

Anyone have a clip of him smashing Yates in the chest 🥊
Yep, here you go:

Got a feeling if Eze comes in that he could find himself on the bench a lot next season if he doesn’t pull his socks up.
I think 5 subs has changed the game and Ange regularly uses 6 midfielders and 5 forwards. Realistically 15 players will play meaningful minutes every game and a 16th some minutes, and that's without European or meaningful cup football. So, yes to another 8/10.
