He did! He was superb before he got injured. No surprise he dropped following injury, it happens to most players who suffer ligament damage and miss a chunk of games. If he played as well as he played the PR game we would have another Bale level player.
So did Bissouma he needs competitionHe did! He was superb before he got injured. No surprise he dropped following injury, it happens to most players who suffer ligament damage and miss a chunk of games.
It’s not a competition issue, it’s an injury related issue. It happens to most players who miss a significant chunk of games to an injury.
That's a tad cynical. He was very good prior to his injury & I expect he will be very good again. If he played as well as he played the PR game we would have another Bale level player.
He knows how to play the game... That's for sure!
Don't agree. Was chatting to a fan of his last club and they say he is either on it, injured or complacent like clockwork. It’s not a competition issue, it’s an injury related issue. It happens to most players who miss a significant chunk of games to an injury.
....so a Leicester fan then?Don't agree. Was chatting to a fan of his last club and they say he is either on it, injured or complacent like clockwork.
Before moving to us I always had him down as a "moments" player, where in every game he does something great which people talk about and it gets clipped up onto YouTube, but ultimately, he never dominates/controls/dictates himself on the oppo.Don't agree. All the more important that we find someone with a similar skill set. Protect him from further injury and help keep our standards high. When he was out, our level dropped. Before moving to us I always had him down as a "moments" player, where in every game he does something great which people talk about and it gets clipped up onto YouTube, but ultimately, he never dominates/controls/dictates himself on the oppo.
But what he did in our shirt before getting injured was completely change my mind about him.
Injuries are part of the game, fortunately, he appears to be over the knee issues he had whilst at Leicester, these are hard to overcome, hard to get the balance right in training and competition and easy to suffer further injury as a knock-on effect. His ankle damage is more straightforward to recover from (see Bale and Kane).
He's certainly not the player I thought he was. Injuries are unique to every sportsperson, just need to keep our fingers crossed he's fit and healthy for pre-season (I see no reason why he wouldn't be), get a sound foundation of training under his belt during this time and go again.
Not a lot any club can do if injuries are ligament-related but agree need cover for rotation, competition etc We do have this with Kulu, I think he's better as a 10 than wide player but is hard to define his role in either position. All the more important that we find someone with a similar skill set. I'm not really keeping up with the transfer rumour news. Are we looking for another playmaker?
I refuse to name them. It's a old story ( clearly one you're not in on) I really really dislike his last side. If you name them they strangely think they have become our 'rivals'
Ahhhhh! No, wasn't privvy to that... Sorry!I refuse to name them. It's a old story ( clearly one you're not in on) I really really dislike his last side. If you name them they strangely think they have become our 'rivals'

Love the sentiment but he needs to check his timeline - pretty sure Gazza wouldn’t have worn that shirt?
He hasn't been exactly good for a while now.I hope Madders hits the season in great form but my hot take is come Easter he’ll be on the bench struggling for game time as the kids take his place.
