Don't agree. Was chatting to a fan of his last club and they say he is either on it, injured or complacent like clockwork.
Before moving to us I always had him down as a "moments" player, where in every game he does something great which people talk about and it gets clipped up onto YouTube, but ultimately, he never dominates/controls/dictates himself on the oppo.

But what he did in our shirt before getting injured was completely change my mind about him.

Injuries are part of the game, fortunately, he appears to be over the knee issues he had whilst at Leicester, these are hard to overcome, hard to get the balance right in training and competition and easy to suffer further injury as a knock-on effect. His ankle damage is more straightforward to recover from (see Bale and Kane).

He's certainly not the player I thought he was. Injuries are unique to every sportsperson, just need to keep our fingers crossed he's fit and healthy for pre-season (I see no reason why he wouldn't be), get a sound foundation of training under his belt during this time and go again.

All the more important that we find someone with a similar skill set. Protect him from further injury and help keep our standards high. When he was out, our level dropped.

I'm not really keeping up with the transfer rumour news. Are we looking for another playmaker?

Not a lot any club can do if injuries are ligament-related but agree need cover for rotation, competition etc We do have this with Kulu, I think he's better as a 10 than wide player but is hard to define his role in either position.

I like our links to Eze who would be a fantastic option with little to know drop-off in performance when playing.

Bump.

Another terrible showing today. Playing like one of those bastketball players in Space Jam after they touch the bastketball and lose all their powers. I can't recall seeing such a decline from his form at the start of last season.

He looks to me like he's almost trying too hard to make something happen, taking one touch too many. Always playing like he's being watched by Southgate in the crowd or something and bottling it each time.

At some point you have to wonder if it's a mentality issue and not just the injury.

At this rate I give it 3 months til Bergvall is starting over him. And that's being generous.
