Thats kinda good news regarding Jan (all things considered) but the fuck is wrong with Lamela??
6 weeks (if it is to be 6 weeks) is far better than the 3 months/Career ending/Paralysed from the ankle down Doomsday scenarios we were looking at last weekend...
If it is only 6 weeks, I think we have the personnel to cope. Wimmer/Davies/CCV can all be tried and tested there alongside Tobes & Dier. We're covered for the short-term...
More worrying is Lamela... I think the Family issues (if his brother really is as bad as it sounds) will be life-changing... his injury just seems to have run alongside that.
And there were we thinking the injury had come at the 'right time' (if there is such a thing) as it would allow him plenty of time off on compassionate grounds... we just didn't think it would be this much time!
Still... will be like a... TWO new signings as and when they both return!

Excellent news that Jan doesn't need surgery. Obviously he will be a miss, but we could cope even if he was out for the rest of the season. My main concern was whether he would have any permanent damage but that doesn't sounds like the case, so all is good.
Good to see Vertonghen walking around in a protective boot without crutches. Which suggests his ligament damage isn't that severe. He seems to be pretty unlucky with these mid season trips to Barcelona, he was injured last season as well. No chance to having a night out at La Terazza. :vertna:
Super Jan was at the shitty match as well: Good to see he is not left behind and is travelling with the team!

Poch just said Vertonghen should be back training next week.
If he's capable of running non stop for 2 or 3 weeks he should be able to play 90mins ffs
