Transfers January 2018 transfer thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We nearly won the league last season with Ben Davies (whom was superb)... He's clearly no issue with being rotated.. Why on earth get rid? (Esp. if Rose is close to the exit like many suspect.)
On record as a Rose supporter, both hope and believe he'll be here next season, and even I think this is crazy. Davies isn't going anywhere, there's simply no reason to move him on - especially given he can cover at CB in an emergency (which is our thinnest position).

Anyone now countering our need to strengthen in the January window, including Pochettino would surely be taking a dogmatic stance and nothing else.

To be challenging for honours we simply need a stronger and deeper squad and to erase entirely the notion that Kane, Alli and Eriksen don't need competitiion that can sometimes see them sat on the bench.

Out biggest weakness this seasom is the complacency of being deemed irreplaceable and the lack of drive and motivation it can bring.

I would get Charlie Austin from Southampton. English and PL experience, and would be perfect partner for Harry Kane.

Several sources here (Switzerland,Germany) are stating that we're thinking about signing Breel Embolo. Former Striker of my home club FC Basel and now at Schalke 04. Didn't play for a whopping 11 months due to a bad injury but he's fully recovered now, still building up his energy level to where it was before though.
Embolo is for sure a talented young player, physically strong and always putting 100% effort into his game. His confidence level is not the best atm, as Schalke's manager has not been letting him play a lot since his recovery.
Schalke's manager is, as the whole club there, a pathetic piece of crap, so it'd be better for him to leave to a club where he's given a chance to develop. Poch might just be the right type of a trainer/character to make him be the type of player we lack upfront to crack bus parking opponents.

Embolo would be lovely.

Who do you expect to be available that will strengthen us?

Why are Schalke a 'pathetic piece of crap'?
