No I do not believe it.
the “journey” from old WHL to this was filled with error, missteps, potential lies and lack of investment in players. Offset by some incredible games, great results and anticipation.
within a year, the whole thing (for me personally) has gone flat for me as the performances and results have gone south. The team has been mostly awful, the match day experience peppered with shit like away fans in the “home end” and the ticket prices simply way above the value of the product being delivered.
I am not moaning for influences sake, I don’t much care how others judge the experience, but I feel that I can see a club and a fan base that are quite far apart in their views on what success is and I feel that the value of the current product is unacceptably poor and the levels of actually investment where it matters is dangerously low.
That’s why I have been to only Olympiacos since the Sheffield United embarrassment. I’d never believe that it could feel so shit after March and June 1st that I don’t even want to go anymore ! Even Wembley was not as bad as it’s been this year.
brave new dawn, for me, it has not been.
