Some danish ITK here, apparently Eriksen is still open to extending with us provided a satisfying contract is offered to him. The club has supposedly "withdrawn" the last contract offer made to him, so he is examining his options
This may be unpopular but if he's still willing to sign a contract, I'd offer him one immediately. No fucking about though, tell him he needs to sign it within the next 1-2 days or he's gone.

He has to go, the position that he has taken emphasises that and to be fair when your head is not in the right place you do not perform to full capacity.

When you say CM do you mean pure CM or is a DM included on that? I'd say that a perm DM is more vital on a permanent as we only really have Dier, Wanyama and winks who we can utilise there (Skipp the jury is still out even though I like the look of him, he's very young still).
Sorry, as i said I am under the weather and my fucking head is screaming. MF is the answer and not just CM...but a real CM/MF can man any position and handle any remit. I wanted 6 MFers in the summer and I still want like 4 now. Included in that is a player more comfortable as holding or defensively minded but with actual ability and not some pinballing clogger.

The rest can be 6/8s, 8s, or 8/10 depending upon intended tactics. What I don't want is another Christian Eriksen/Bruno Fernandes type half-a-player. We missed out on the best option available there to a smarter and better run club. I know that I've just sounded the happy clapper klaxon with that criticism but it's true.

Of course dybala is playing out of his skin. Typical fucking levy.
What more did you want want Levy to do? By the sound of it that transfer collapsed at the last hurdle... the image rights. Which Levy rightfully told those cunts to fuck off. Was Levy supposed to cough up an extra 50 million because some gypsy had Dybala scribble his name on a napkin when he was 16? Nah

Your prior post asked "is that weird to you?".... I was addressing that part.
Isn't it weird that a team with glaring deficiencies is focused on loan signings from our manager's manager in positions of recently identified 'need'. My point was about a signalling of a pump and dump (which Gatsby Gatsby mentioned this morning and I PM'd Five Five about as well) situation by our leader. And possibly why we had a Sammy-summer and why he went big with big (can't miss?) names in the summer. And why we've gone 5 seasons without a true backup striker. Or why didn't we get any loans in last Jan considering the real injury situation and Sonny off with Korea. Etc etc etc. It all feels weird and not illogical with either interpretation (the one you thought I was making or the one I was actually making) of the situation.

I could argue that these current positions are not of a particularly pressing need and bus-conductor bus-conductor would go to the mat arguing that replacing Sissoko is not ever needed in relation to a longer term plan (or any plan in BCs case). You could argue risk risk risk but I would counter that concern with the point that these two loans (1 done now) we are hearing about won't really alter our current course anyway considering the bigger and longer term problems that predate these 2 current injuries.

Your point appears to have shifted,
This is quite the accusatory statement AF and I say that charitably. You should have asked for clarification if you were not sure or accept a man at his word. Seems I misunderstood your point at the weekend and I took it on the chin, graciously.

My point was about the bigger picture of glaring deficiencies in the team being neglected relative to how and why things are being addressed now. It's was about the reactive nature and not the proactive nature. You could say Mou wants them filled but it would be a hard sell that Mou wants a 20yo benchwarming MF and a 28yo striker with no prem experience to fill these based on his history...but I can't know that of course. I can only surmise.

It all feels a bit weird, not illogical. If it's a pump and dump then it ALL makes sense. If it's not then these two loan deals still make sense, 2 down 2 in, but would still be weird signings. So at no point would the logic of the moves ever come into consideration. I have a feeling that FSG and Klopp would have handled it differently.

My head's killing me but apparently I still got it. Come get some sammyspurs sammyspurs . :wansum:
