It feels like there has been a downward correction of late in the valuation of players. I think during 2018 into 2019 it went fucken mental but it feels like it has become more sensible (Richarlison the exception).
Any actual economist types on here fancy quantifying it with real numbers? I work on emotions.

No solid proof. But I believe the super rich clubs have hoovered up alot of talent for big fees. Of which alot of them havnt lived up to the hype. They are now stuck with huge wage bills and players they dont need on big wages that no other clubs are prepared to pay.

I think you are probably right.
Hence why i think loan with option to buy will become the norm for a while.
