Isn't it weird that a team with glaring deficiencies is focused on loan signings from our manager's manager in positions of recently identified 'need'. My point was about a signalling of a pump and dump (which Gatsby Gatsby mentioned this morning and I PM'd Five Five about as well) situation by our leader. And possibly why we had a Sammy-summer and why he went big with big (can't miss?) names in the summer. And why we've gone 5 seasons without a true backup striker. Or why didn't we get any loans in last Jan considering the real injury situation and Sonny off with Korea. Etc etc etc. It all feels weird and not illogical with either interpretation (the one you thought I was making or the one I was actually making) of the situation.

I could argue that these current positions are not of a particularly pressing need and bus-conductor bus-conductor would go to the mat arguing that replacing Sissoko is not ever needed in relation to a longer term plan (or any plan in BCs case). You could argue risk risk risk but I would counter that concern with the point that these two loans (1 done now) we are hearing about won't really alter our current course anyway considering the bigger and longer term problems that predate these 2 current injuries.

This is quite the accusatory statement AF and I say that charitably. You should have asked for clarification if you were not sure or accept a man at his word. Seems I misunderstood your point at the weekend and I took it on the chin, graciously.

My point was about the bigger picture of glaring deficiencies in the team being neglected relative to how and why things are being addressed now. It's was about the reactive nature and not the proactive nature. You could say Mou wants them filled but it would be a hard sell that Mou wants a 20yo benchwarming MF and a 28yo striker with no prem experience to fill these based on his history...but I can't know that of course. I can only surmise.

It all feels a bit weird, not illogical. If it's a pump and dump then it ALL makes sense. If it's not then these two loan deals still make sense, 2 down 2 in, but would still be weird signings. So at no point would the logic of the moves ever come into consideration. I have a feeling that FSG and Klopp would have handled it differently.

My head's killing me but apparently I still got it. Come get some sammyspurs sammyspurs . :wansum:
What's the matter with you? Have you dehydrated yourself from wanking over pictures of Didier Ndong all day?

Just watched Juventus dominate Udinese. Absolute clinic. We are so far below them right now. We need better players and time to gel.

I don’t care who we get this transfer window as long as we get appreciably better. We need to have a good summer transfer window, too.

However you spell it, as long as it's not another proxy loan deal, I'm in.
TBH AF I love the idea of loan deals. I think they make the most sense (with option of course but can make a decent argument for those without if circumstances dictate) and wish we'd have used them more frequently. Not sure I want to loan Bacalhau though unless they weren't concerned with the form in which it was returned.

This "option to buy" biz works well for a team like us.

Just watched the first 33 mins of it. He looks useful. Incredible trickery on show from Chouiar, but end product not really there.
Come on over to the dark side Five. I can sense it...it's happening. And to think he was 'free' last January yet we are implementing the creative/loan plans now.

And lay off Chewy FFS. He's 20 and in a team of relegation fodder. Focus on the pace, workrate, and technical ability. Remember how much your boy Mou loves Willian. Think he might have to work on his Portuguese though.

Not half as much as Eriksen himself, by, say not turning up for a full fucking year
Absolutely this - he can get fucked if he wants to come back to us with his tail between his legs after realising that running down your contract and failing to deliver for 18 months only offer you a sideways move to Serie A.

It delights me that Mr. I Have A Secret Plan For My Career can't even get offers from Barca or Real despite being a free option.
