No interest in Wanyama according to the Standard, who say his summer move to Belgium broke down over money. Looks like we are stuck with him and he will be the one that is chopped from the squad list.
Wooooaaaaahhh back the fuck up buddy. That's a massive fucking leap you're making. 100% man that's me. All man. A mans man. Women love me men wanna be me. I can eat 4 yes fucker 4 shredded wheat. Not even a whiff of homosexuality anywhere near me.This is how you know sexuality is constructed and not biological, rugby banter and tradition is the best reason to believe human beings / men are prone to 'swing'.![]()
Even though he's not at full speed yet, I feel he has grown a lot since his uneasy debut months and shown he could be vital for us in the medium long run
Again this non-excuse.
We had no f*cking problem leaving players like Foyth out of CL squad and Janssen out of ... what was it - was it also CL squad I think?
So taking Wanyama out of our both EPL team and CL team is nobrainer. He is not usable anymore.
I cannot understand what is the issue with that? Why do we have to carry him around and make ourselves weaker. Pay off the wages and release him or just keep him on training ground and U23 team. Not perfect, but what can we do??
The point is why sign players if they are not of sufficient standard.
The idea of signing a player who is not up to it on a 5 year contract at say £60k pw (£3m pa) and then deciding he's not good enough to play so we pay off his remaining contract - lets say 4 years @ £3m pa or £12m is just laughable, plus don't recover the initial transfer fee of say £30m. So total loss on one poor standard player is £42m.
How many of those can any club afford ?
That's why its apparent that you posted without engaging brain.
The motto is only buy if the player is of sufficient quality - otherwise it bites you in the arse later. How difficult is that for people to understand ?
When I played rugby, I know, I know but its almost religion in my neck of woods if it was your birthday you'd be debagged tied to one of the posts deep heat squirted up your arse and rugby balls kicked at constantly for the next 2 hours til training was done.......ahhhh the memories..
Foyth has actually been here long enough that he should be classed as homegrown now. At least domestically. UEFA has different rules (for example Ben counts as homegrown in the league but we have to give him a foreign slot in the CL because Swansea is in Wales).
With Wanyama there are rumblings of him not wanting to move to anywhere that cannot match his wages.
I agree that we should be moving some out. Foyth could go on loan for example
When you buy a house. Do you buy an expensive bed and eat on the floor? Or do u fill it with cheap stuff and gradually buy better?

If you have a reasonable amount of cash (which we do) we buy selectively to avoid throwing money away next year.
If you go down the route you suggest in your personal life plenty of personal financial advisors to help you out.
Although in our instance we were moving house and already had some furniture. And we had a decent sized bank account. When you buy a house. Do you buy an expensive bed and eat on the floor? Or do u fill it with cheap stuff and gradually buy better?
