What articles? I’m not sure why people are so keen to push this narrative. He absolutely did not want Sissoko, he said so himself, there is literally direct quotation in his book.
As for Moura, I’m pretty sure after a good performance from him Poch said that the person who should take credit for it was Steve Hitchen as it was he who convinced the club to sign him.

No there is not Tom. I’ve read the passage from his book in the last few days, just to be sure.

Poch talks about how it’s clearer (the recruitment process) now him and Levy working on them instead of Levy, a sporting director, and his advisors. He (Poch) justifies the fee paid for Sissoko, says he had a great Euros, has good experience and finishes by saying Levy thinks he (Poch) will make him an even better player.

There is absolutely not one word of Poch saying he did not want Sissoko.

There is no way Levy spends what was a record signing fee and 90k per week - also top end wage for us then - without Poch being on board with the signing.

Young and offers options to keep Lucas and Son competing for their WF positions. Obviously got to wait to see but I'm sure he's been linked in previous windows to us as well.

Lo Celso looks the most natural Eriksen replacement to me. Push him central, a little further up top once our midfield issues are sorted and see how he suits the playmaker role I reckon.

So, kids... Has he got goals in him or is he more of a work-horse winger type?

Once Eriksen leaves our only AM's left are Lo Celso. Deli, Moura, Lamela so with 4 we are light and need another one - however we will still have an excess of overseas trained players in the squad assuming we also sign a striker taking up an overseas trained player spot, so think we might need to focus on an HG AM rather than the likes of Bergwijn.

Of course love to see the likes of Wanyama leaving to create overseas trained player spots in the squad, but there's just no rumours of that atm.

This kid is perfect for what we need atm, puts pressure on everyone in the attack for a place in the squad and can play any position. Smart signing if we can make it happen, signings talented players who can play in multiple roles is exactly what we need right now.

This sounds like a typical Tottenham paper story though if I’m being honest, news breaks. Apparently we’re close, later it’ll say it’s agreed, tomorrow we will hear how PSV want X amount but levy has offered 1/3 of that price. Vicious cycle.

Deal isnt dead at all. We just need to offer more money. Same as Piatek.

1 of those two will be at Spurs 1st Feb
Well someone better come in as a centre forward or this will be me on Feb 1.

Has Eriksen joined his Boyhood club yet??
They drew 1-1 against Cagliari this afternoon... (who are 7th, on 31 points... so pretty much the Italian Spurs this season!)

Does this mean it's technically a step up for Eriksen, or a step across???

I would think Foyth or Lamelas time would be up. Vertonghen may not survive the summer.

PSV-watcher:

As expected a huge gap between the asking price and what we are willing to pay. Wouldn't surprise me if Levy somehow thinks that he can sign this player for £15m or something in January, which won't happen in a million years.

Gap between asking price and offer price. What else is new.

But this is a fairly easy deal.

Its only 20odd million. And the player will be on 25k a week max.

Said it a few days ago, Willian Jose was a distraction to get Milan wanting us to come back in for Piatek. I’m confident he (Piatek) will be a Spurs playing by the end of the window.

As for Bergwijn, he’d be a great signing. Not sure Levy will agree a deal but I’m hoping he does. Surprised we haven’t got in for Ziyech.
