Like, what happens if Son says he wants to leave in the summer and we didn’t have someone behind him? We’d be in another position where we can’t sell him until we buy a replacement. Buying players like Bergwijn put you in a better position in the future for outgoings. The Eriksen debacle could’ve been avoided if we made more moves like this.
