Liverpool offered more. That's the crux of the matter. Our Diaz bid was accepted by all accounts so I'm not sure why you keep saying we lost out by £5m?

Once again the only club more excited & happy about the outgoings every window.
“Wage bill reduced” banners at our next game. “Fortnite dele dismissed” flags.
Balancing the books comes before exciting good signings joining at the lane. At least we are original & different I guess.
Too many Levy sympathisers. Ask what the price is, show the money and get the signature, it doesn't take 3 weeks. If a player or club hasn't signed after you agreeing to what they want, turn and go. It means they were never interested in you.
There were a host of other players we could've tried to get instead of wasting 3/4 of a window one player.
Levy uses this tactic to make people think, "Oh he tried". Always low balling, knowing he isn't really trying to get the player.
Then a new manager comes along & same thing happens. & then we blame the manager again….Nowhere near good enough
If this window is apparently us backing Conte then don't get too used to having him around
I'm not saying that didn't play a part. But if we payed what they asked and still player didn't want to sign immediately. Just leave. He ain't interested. But Levy doesn't pay what's being asked. He always Low Balls. So at the end of the day, he can say "I tried".Up to a point....but the real reason he joined pool over us is because of guaranteed champions league football and lets be honest, with the addition of Klopp at the helm they're a far superior club to us atm....

Yeah not a bad signing & worth a punt.
See this shit here, this is boring.
But it's not though because our offer was accepted. No matter how often you say otherwise.
So you saw we signed 2 first team players - that's 50% of all 4 first team players signed in total by the top 10 PL clubs.
Which just shows what an ill informed post you made.
Mate, ENIC are a joke. People will say the summer transfer window is the one that matters, but if the club had brought in Conte instead Nunope last summer we'd presumably be a lot further along.Yeah not a bad signing & worth a punt.
But wage bill reduction is the winner!
Some remember titles & cups. We remember wage reductions.
Spot on mate. We made two sensible January signings that look like Conte choices. And we got rid of players with te wrong attitude who if still here would continue to infect our good players.Doesn't matter, if our deals were good, mediocre or whatever. We fixed our squad a bit, added 2 guys that might work in place of ones that definitely didn't work, moved some deadwood and we are going to pay less in wages.
Meanwhile, Woolwich and ManU didn't do shit, they are much weaker through outgoings and signed no one. Like it or not, from all top 6 clubs we had the best TW.
The contract time is just Everton taking on the remainder of his deal. The Alli deal seems so weird. Weird fee, weird fee structure, weird contract time (2.5 years).
