It is interesting how so many English teams - hailing from, according to many Spurs fans, the only "quality" league, the EPL - have big problems beating teams from such "shite leagues"....even from even more "shittier" leagues.
Spurs, unfortunately, are a prime example of that...

Erm, right now the results of PL clubs in Europe speak for themselves.

Every single English club competing in the CL topped its group, Liverpool won 6/6 including 4 games against Atletico and Milan. Both English teams in the EL also topped their group. We were the only English team (all the way down in the conference..) who don't occupy first spot in our group.

So it's more an us being shit thing, the Premier League is very clearly #1. It hasn't always been (was a period when La Liga was easily on top and Prem fans/the media acted otherwise) but currently it's by far the strongest league.

I am not arguing that EPL is not the top league (right now they are)...but that doesn't necessarily make the other leagues shitty...
I read it very often (not just on this forum) how shite other leagues' are, yet some of those "Mickey Mouse" leagues produce more quality players than the EPL.

Oh I agree. Serie A is weak but still has a hell of a lot of good players, we saw that in the Euros. Teams there just can't have full squads of elite players like City, Chelsea and Liverpool can currently field. They still have top talents like Chiesa, Barella, Bastoni etc. Really the only big gap between the Prem and the rest of Europe currently is our top 3 all being so good, underneath that the league is nothing overly special.

Definitely #1 now, but these things usually work in cycles.

Actually think McKennie might be perfect to play next to Skipp. If Juve wants Ndombele, might as well get McKennie in as part of it.

Is he not just straight out of the PEH mould?

I concur we can't afford a drop in defensive capability/workrate, but I thought the desire was for more creativity and quality on the ball?

Not sure Chelsea will.

He is much better on the ball than PEH. Whether tgat is enough is certainly up for debate but he doesn’t limit us line PEH does.

Sky Sports News reporting that Wijnaldum is available for loan. What do you guys think?

If you’re playing a 343 he brings a good blend of qualities to a 2 man CM, but he isn’t the creative force people have really wanted.

Personally I’d be all over it.
