Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

There might well be nothing to the Bale rumours, but absolute bollocks that Paratici and Conte haven't discussed transfers yet! They would have talked about them before Conte signed the contract, surely nobody believes otherwise?

Ally Gold is a mouth piece of the club so he is probably just parroting info he got told to put out. They cant say we are going to buy 3-4 players in Jan because we have a few shit ones as it would not look good.

Yeh they obviously would have talked about signings in the same way a trader talks about making money and probably do quite a bit, Conte is here to do well and transfers are a part of that. I can’t imagine in a million year we get to Jan and Conte mentions transfers for the first time only for Levy to say your stuck with Dele. That would be taking the fans for fools.

We have failed to score against Palace, Chelsea, West Ham, Man United and Everton
Whilst a lot of the blame lies with the forward players, there is clearly an issue linking defence and midfield. Unfortunately for Skipp, all I'm seeing is sideways passing. Conte may have a word in his ear and give him the chance to look up more and be more ambitious with it, but I can't see him getting as much game time going forward of he's always passing to the side.
Were you watching the Everton game when he was the best player on the pitch the last 20 minutes?

Did you watch Vitesse where he made several positive offensive plays in the 1st half? (more than we can say for PEH who plays a more offensive position than Skipp)

I watched both games. I thought Royal was our best player in both tbh. Pretty sure Skip was all at sea for one of Man United's goals and one of Vitesse's goals.

Conte needs some cash to spend in January.
It will be interesting to see who he endeavours to move on in January.
Conte needs to stay longer than his average 1.2 year contract to turn this team around.
By the end of January, Conte knows if he is staying long term or going.
I think it will depend on a number of factors. If we're a point or two off 4th at the start of the new year and we don't push out the boat to get him a player he wants, then yeah he'll know by January. But if we're not looking like being able to get 4th, then I would think that by the end of the summer Conte will know if he will stay longer than his contract.

January is a very tough transfer window and you make big moves only if they will pay off in the current season. So if we're still work in progress by that time and 4th is a real stretch, then he'll probably evaluate based on what we do in the summer.

We were totally mad not to try and keep Bale around.
He can do exactly what Ronaldo is doing. Imagine him instead of Moura and the chances he'd get and make.
You really can't compare Bale and Ronaldo. As much as I hate Ronaldo as a character, he has an unbelievable work ethic and is the consummate professional. I doubt Bale possesses these traits to the extent needed that would allow him to perform at a high level even at his age. And he's 4 years younger than Ronaldo.

Bale's RM contract expires in the summer...... Really struggle to imagine him not retiring tbh......

Maybe a short-term deal/loan somewhere to see him through to Qatar if Wales can qualify, but after that I think he's out.

I meant in the sense he can put the ball in the back of the net. Which, in case you haven't seen, we can't do.

Bale: happy to get paid to not play. Heart is on the golf course. Seems to be steadily downshifting into retirement.

Conte: works players until they puke. If they're not all in, proclaims desire to kill them. Hates ketchup.

How is anyone seriously seeing a fit here?
