Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Are you disputing the figures? Do you consider Deloitte a reliable source?
Deloitte are very reliable but you are quoting 2021 figures which does not represent the entirety of 21 years. For a long time we sat mid-high teens on that list. Even now although 9th or so we are still the 5th in our league having just overtaken Woolwich. The richest Italian club Juve are behind us now so gives an idea of the strength money/spending power wise in our league.

Having said that 1 trophy in all that time is a disgrace especially when you consider some of the clubs that have won cups in that spell. We have got close on quite a few occasions but can't get over the line anymore.

I think the Summer LCB target is clearly Pau Torres.

he's currently still in the CL with Villarreal so no chance of a Jan move.

According to reports he was tempted last summer but couldn't not play CL for his home grown club.

fair enough.
Happy to wait in that position if it’s for him. Not an area we need to panic buy this window and he’s a fantastic player

20m isnt alot for a prem proven player. Especially a striker
Newcastle is playing it all pretty smart. Howe, Trippier, and Wood are all pieces suited to the relegation scrap that is their reality, extremely useful in the Championship if things go south, and of some use as transitional pieces where they hope to go. All done with no fuss for sums that are, for them, a drop in the ocean.

They aren’t just spunking any amount of money on whatever the flashiest item they can grab is. That day will come, but there’s groundwork and very possibly a season in the wilderness before that makes any rational sense.

Maybe obvious. Conte 💯 made it known he wants Traoré in this week, in time to play in NLD. Lots of pawn games taking place right now. Just had confirmation we would pay a little to take JL now. Complicated stuff though. And for the reasons why I fully understand. I am told the priority positions will be filled in this window. We are still confident on DV for summer. I am told to stop reading club agenda driven drivel about him going up the road.

Caution! I’m sharing as I’m hearing okay.

Who is JL?

I've acknowledged numerous times I got that wrong.

When someone brings it up years later in a completely irrelevant debate, it's a sure sign they're out of their depth and completely lost the argument.

When it comes to everything else regarding the direction of our club, I've been proven right time and time again.

Take your medicine and learn some humility.

Not that anyone noticed.

First time I've seen it, too

Well done - glad you acknowledge you were wrong about Levy/enic

I’d take Lingard on loan now, not sure I want to be on the hook for what are sure to be massive wage asks this summer with him being a free transfer.

He’s already on £75k and I’d imagine he’ll want double that with there being no transfer fee.

He is a good player, I would have taken him as Kane back up. Unless Burnley really know how to use £20m they will struggle.

He’s having his worst season for them by a good margin, all his numbers are down. I’d imagine they feel they are cashing out the right time. They could get 3 or 4 decent players in with the Wood money, the way they do business.

He’s not a center forward.

And United has no reason to loan him out for the ending months of his contract.

That’s why I thought Martial made more sense.

Lingard is an okay player but I don’t see how he fits or fills a need.

(Goddamnit your comment was about Wood not Lingard, my bad)
