Granted, I don't pay THAT much attention to other clubs but Villa have been linked to two players in the last week and both of them were complete within days of the original link.

Maybe we're not in for Traore, maybe all the noise is bullshit. But if we are, for the figures being mentioned. it really shouldn't be this hard to get done. This brinkmanship might make financial sense in the short term, but long term it's killing us.

Yep I agree with the point about every single transfer we deal with seems to be a never ending saga.

On that it's completely a DNA flaw in the club, because it seems (probably incorrect) that other clubs get linked to a player and it's a done deal before you know it

With us it is nearly always anything but straightforward.

The club just see them as the fantasists they are but every now and then they (and I'm talking all ITK here) get something right. I remember reading an article on the Athletic a couple of years ago how clubs treated them, cant remember the context but they ignore them on the whole.

I bet if some fancy corporate lawyer came knocking they'd shit their pants and think twice though...... Their platform; their publishing it by proxy & charging to read it.

To be fair I'm not against this. I will give ENIC credit for improving the area around Tottenham. I haven't seen any other owners attempt to do that.

However, the focus should not always be there and should be on the playing squad. ENIC are investment company, so will see the potential in building this complex and housing area, then selling a lot of it off. But if they continue to neglect the squad, then they will have a problem in getting funds out of the club and competitions they are part of.

Well you could say they're just doing what any media outlet does and create stories and twist things to shape narratives which in turn drives up revenue so technically they're doing what everyone else does and they're not even charging to read it as it's on an open forum and available on Google, it's just people there are extremely gullible and they choose to spend money because they are happy to consume the bullshit.

The windfall they received from the Countinho money was used very well but they're going to need another sale like that to push on which I can't see happening.

Their arguement would be that they won the CL and PL so they are completely justified to not pushing the boat out but the fans won't agree and will always want them to compete.

Heard the same noises from them the year they won the CL and only proceeded to buy some kid that summer......

And once before that too.
