I still think we should go back for Lautaro Martinez before Vlahovic.
Even aside from reservations about Vlahovic’s quality, I struggle to envisage a scenario where Kane and Vlahovic could play in the same team. Far too similar in their play style.

Martinez could play on his own up front, in a two with Kane or as part of a three with Kane and Son. Would be a far superior signing IMO.
He signed a new deal with inter in October till 2026

I have to agree with this. We could have sold one of Eriksen or Dele in 2017 and the other in 2018 and refreshed the squad. However, would we have spent the money wisely?

Which is really the crux of the issue. If we had proper scouting, the money we spent on Tanguy and Lo Celso might have gone for players that actually made a difference. And in spite of the fact that we didn't cash in on some of our better players in earlier years, we'd be in a much better position now than we currently are.
In hindsight you could have got 250-300for rose / dele /Eriksen / dier

Levy held firm as a fan lynching would’ve been on the cards had he sold

But had he sold …. That would’ve been a coutinho-esque trade

Considering those same players are worth 50m tops it breaks you to even ponder it

Even we could’ve put a title winning squad together with those numbers

Seems like this one is for the summer, we really need bodies in now.

The way this works is the player waves their pen in the vicinity of the contract and says "I'll sign it I swear, are you SURE you won't accept a fee instead of losing me for nothing?"

Having said that, Milan, a proud club scrapping for their first title since 2011, has more use for the next six months of Kessie than we do, and one wonders why Kessie doesn't feel the same way.

Whether for free in June or for a bargain basement fee now, it's a quality move for a quality player. Get it done Don Fabio.

(Worth noting that Kessie will be hoping and expecting to progress in AFCON until after the window closes)

Signing Kessie on a free would be an insane coup for us, especially as we stand to get totally rinsed on sales of our underperformers. A summer window with Kessie, a RWB, a RW, and a backup ST in, funded by existing money plus Dele, Ndom, Bergwijn, Lo Celso, and Doherty sales makes this all very doable imo. If we could do all that we should have a team capable of winning the FA cup or Europa league, top 4 in the league, and possibly more.

So along came Dan a renowned property dealer and developer who had made a fortune when the tide was high. Dan after several years or easy money making decided to buy a run down factory which made electrical equipment that he liked when he was a kid.

Now Dan didn't know anything about manufacturing but he knew all about property and he knew he could get finance to build the most beautiful factory in the world which would surely make the best electrical equipment.

So Dan went out and got that finance. He doubled the shop floor, he made the most beautiful canteen, even put in an amazing gym and gold plated urinal.

Everything was in place. Then Dan realised he'd forgot to buy new machinery, but surely that won't matter thought Dan, I've doubled the floor space.

The old machinery slowly went bad and the plasters he used to hold things together soon fell off. Now Dan's electrical equipment was shit and he could sell diddly. He needed to keep the buyers happy so brought in new factory managers, but they were just more sticky tape really.

Dan's big factory investment meant he had no money left on the company books, it has all been spent on the factory and while he had the world's greatest factory, it no longer produced anything but cheap crap.

Dan ran the factory into the ground and eventually sold the factory, personally pocketing a small fortune, but the company could no longer compete with the competition. Still Dan had managed to make a small fortune having spent very little of his own money - not bad eh!

Thanks Dan, thanks for all your hard work.
Good story but it made quite the challenging wank.

We got simply too many players, I don't think we need any signings. It's how conte uses them.

Money wasted on sessegnon where cirkin would do a better job.

Money wasted on Emerson and Doherty, can easily convert a midfield there. Like bergwijn.

Dele can play as a striker together with kane

Hmm… looks and sounds suspiciously like Levy :gallashmm:

Clearly anything other than a top 4 finish this season would be a disaster.

At their age, there is no way Kane, Son (even Lucas) are going to play another season without Champions League football.

I am surprised we are mid January and still have no incoming players. Its plain to see that we cannot score goals and urgently need to address this.

Whatever is happening, needs to happen quick.

No chance people involved in something like this would be blabbing to SC. It could be huge sums of money. Anyone leaking this out and potentially scuppering the deal would be sued by Levy/Lewis straight away. They aren't going to fuck about. Dangerous putting this shit out there.....if it is true of course.
Leaks do happen though . As we’ve seen only too often in government
