Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Ligue 1 expert Adam White believes that this season has been a “failure” for Tottenham Hotspur loanee Pape Matar Sarr, who has been playing for Metz in the French top-flight.
I'm sorry to say that he has been turning in subdued performances when I have seen him this season.

BUT WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN PAPE MATAR SARR?

Unmissable in the midfielder of FC Metz last season, Pape Matar Sarr (19) had a dazzling start to his career with two national caps and a transfer to Tottenham last summer. Loaned to the Garnets in the wake, the Senegalese midfielder is in distress during this first part of the season, even losing his place as holder.

Never worked and never will. It's always a bad Idea to buy a player and loan him back for the same team, they will favour another players that are compromissed for the long term and the player will hardly give 100%.

That's the nature of transfers with all clubs. We also looked at buying Grealish, Dias, Bruno, Moutinho, Mane, Willian, Hazard who could have been great for us.

The likes of Grealish, Bruno, Dias, Willian could also have flopped here, every situation is different and some players just land in the right club at the right time.

Damiao, Berahino, Stuart Downing.. maybe Berahino would have found the right manager in Poch and kicked on, or maybe we dodged a bullet and avoided a guy with poor attitude. Maybe Halilovic has a better career if he moves to Shakhtar Donetsk or Sporting Lisbon at 17.. every situation is different, in football as it is in life.

That's all very well and good my point still stands. People over rate their own eye for talent. They whinge like little babies when we don't sign players. Then they very quickly forget all that after said player fails to deliver but carry on the same the next time. It's even worse that they do it when the players DO sign for us and turn out shit.
I'd like to think clubs do a little homework before signing players. Get a feel for their attitude, ineptitude, career plans etc. Maybe we do look at these players which the media gets wind of, but then decide they're not for us and we move on.
All the fans see is a player we were linked with that we didn't sign and get the raving hump about it.

all 3 shouldnt cost more then 40 mill

adama 20

the other two probably 10 due to contract

hardly spunking a fortune

What's the point in the 6 month loan part of the deal?

But on the Tweet it says ''obligation to buy''?

Tbf I doubt he'd be silly enough to come out and say that he's miserable at the club and can't wait to slam the door shut
no but he doesn't have to say anything does he? why even bother with positivity if things are so miserable?

Conte's a "straight talker" as he says himself won't shirk from telling things like they are.

he's lying here is he?

things aren't always as shit as they seem.

too much overreaction to the last week .

I presume he was asked some kind of question that prompted him to give that answer though

Maybe you're right

But I will say that the feeling right now amongst many is not just because of the Chelsea Games

It's a build up from years and years of poor decisions and general ineptitude
