He always does this, he signs 'duds' and then more often than not turns them into decent players who play a massive part on his teams.
He signed players like Liechtenstein, Ashley Young, Darmian etc...so wouldn't rule it out, we as fans just need to get used to this, some players we may perceive as average but if the manager wants them we just need to trust him.
Let's hope thiat this guy doesn't turn out to be another Drinkwater though...
