Has it slammed shut yet??? Oh yes it has

Welcome aboard Dejan and Rodrigo (we’ll call you Roddy just because) we might seem like a bunch of aloof entitled cunts living in a big house but we’re a pretty supportive lot, you try for us we have your back

Goodbye Tanguy I used to swoon over you but day to day with you it’s always something else testing our nerve, now just go don’t turn around you’re not welcomed anymore.

GLC not sure which one you were

Bryan love your attitude about going away and working hard to be back contributing. I’m sure you will mate can’t wait until summer when you return. Have a couple of extra steaks. See you in July

We got Alli, Dele Alli, mate all good things eventually end. You’re a Spurs legend despite what anybody says. I know you never gave up on us but you did give up on football. Hope those blue Scouse moaners don’t grind you down. Look after yourself mate

So does anyone think we've improved? Actually strengthened our weakest areas?

Great day for levy, managed to bring in more money than we spent and reduce the wage bill. Not sure this was the time to make cost savings and go backwards in terms of nil real investment.

Massively disappointed and hard to trust the new guys going by the singing over the last 3 or 4 years and before anyone foolishly trys to jump on that - Ndombele GlC and Gil - rotten rotten rotten

I think that Bentancur is an up grade over PEH/Wanks and Kulusevski is an upgrade over Lucas, especially if he allows us to move to a 3-5-2.

However, I am not sure the the improvements are that big and we certainly did not improve our goal scoring, creativity, ability to move the ball through the midfield or ability to do anything at RWB.

We still have the same problems we did before the window, still are reliant almost entirely on Son/Kane for our entire attack and still have a backline that is terrible.

We also now have zero ability to create anything from midfield and little to no ability to change the attack if things aren't working. We better hope plan A works because there is no ability to even have a plan B let alone implement it.

Dippers move for Carvalho just fell through, hahahahahaha. :)

They probably didn't want him anyway, it was obviously just the chairman pretending to try to get him to appease their fans, whilst not really being prepared to pay the money, they should have signed him 3 weeks ago, blah blah blah unsubstantiated nonsense blah blah blah...

I am however a bit perplexed how we didn't seem to have improved any of the positions that were identified at the start of the window. Minimal links to a forward of any kind, none for a true creative mid. And one for RWB, which was arguably our most pressing need.
+1

Anyway now the window is over; let's focus on the positives.

Kuluveski is a talented kid and definitely gives our attack some variety.
Bentancur is hard working and will help protect our defence, giving Skipp/ PEH rest when needed.

Hopefully RWB and a creative mid will be the priority for the summer.

That was my argument. If January is useless & the summer vital. Then the right man should have been here at the start of the summer for that very reason.
Levy is a Master at manipulation. He actually gets people to believe he is trying to get the club to a standard equal to City, Liverpool and Chelsea. He has never truly backed a transfer window, unless he saw a potential return on investment. He has always bought only youngsters hoping they will come good and make a profit. He knows their salaries are way lower than their established counterparts. What quality player, already on the top of his game, have we bought in the Last 5 years? None. How many of these players have we put a bid on? Many. Why? Cause Levy always Haggles. He needs to show you an attempt was made.

I keep hearing we want to follow the Liverpool model. We forgot Klopp went and bought the most expensive, record breaking defender. No haggling. They took out the money and payed. The same for the goal keeper. Winning doesn't come cheap.

If you want to coat off Kulu and Bentancur, I disagree, but I get it. They’ve got a lot to prove.

I don’t understand how anyone who has watched Spurs over the last three years can not be pleased to see the back of Ndombele, Lo Celso, or Alli nor try to paint it as move for us to save money. They are useless, washed up, and borderline infamous for their lack of professionalism. You want to continue paying them to do nothing just to say we’re spending money?

Years and years people have complained about our inability to get rid of deadwood and now they’re mad someone else is paying their salaries and giving us a fee? I don’t get it.

Yep exactly.

I'm happy with the players we have brought in, and can't honestly say we will miss any that have left (apart from maybe Gil), but it's still very underwhelming and o sign that the club is seriously backing Conte.
Seriously backing conte, not with this lot in charge.
By weakening the depth of our squad by 2 players, not getting any players in positions we actually needed. We bought another defensive midfielder and a winger with potential. That is not how you back a world class manager in my opinion.

Not enough to seriously improve us but better than nothing. Happy to cut out losses with those 3 players but again it’s no good if we don’t invest it or invest it well. But more importantly doesn’t help us now with our weaknesses. I assume you meant no sign the club is seriously backing conte?
I think he resigned himself to small backing a month or so ago. So may as well do the best with what he has. See it as a big challenge.

I don't know of anyone else after those two players. Except maybe Villa. They were offering less than us. And if you look, we actually offered more for Kulu than his market value. Levy saw the shit is going to hit the fan and did what he had to.

More made-up rubbish.

We'd been linked to Kulu as early as NOVEMBER. And he's on loan; so what you said about pricetag is bollocks too.

You're essentially complaining that we outbid Villa and then moaning (lying) that we got outbid by Liverpool.

You're a mess. Bore off.....

The Alli deal seems so weird. Weird fee, weird fee structure, weird contract time (2.5 years).

Agree.

But Everton already had 2 loanees in from Pl clubs so couldn't do any more, (and Everton are also thought to have FFP issues which won't help.

Dele probably seen as a big risk - if he plays like he's been doing for Spurs he's not worth much, if Lampard gets him back to anything like his best he's worth a fortune (personally think he'll never be as good as he was but might get back to a decent player)

So deal is structured as a pay as you go - but the first £10m payment is structured to be in next season due to the ffp issue, and if he does become a regular it appears total payments over the 2.5 years will be £30m - £40m and everyone wins.

I missed out an 'n'. I meant 'no sign of seriously backing Conte'.
Yeah I assumed correctly! Kulu looks interesting & lively from what little I’ve seen. Can’t remember the other one if I am honest. But we obviously need way more regardless. Selling dele is good business. But we need good players instead of good business all the time.
