So does anyone think we've improved? Actually strengthened our weakest areas?
Great day for levy, managed to bring in more money than we spent and reduce the wage bill. Not sure this was the time to make cost savings and go backwards in terms of nil real investment.
Massively disappointed and hard to trust the new guys going by the singing over the last 3 or 4 years and before anyone foolishly trys to jump on that - Ndombele GlC and Gil - rotten rotten rotten
Wow
The weaker and thinner our squad becomes, the better our transfer window is rated
+1I am however a bit perplexed how we didn't seem to have improved any of the positions that were identified at the start of the window. Minimal links to a forward of any kind, none for a true creative mid. And one for RWB, which was arguably our most pressing need.
Levy is a Master at manipulation. He actually gets people to believe he is trying to get the club to a standard equal to City, Liverpool and Chelsea. He has never truly backed a transfer window, unless he saw a potential return on investment. He has always bought only youngsters hoping they will come good and make a profit. He knows their salaries are way lower than their established counterparts. What quality player, already on the top of his game, have we bought in the Last 5 years? None. How many of these players have we put a bid on? Many. Why? Cause Levy always Haggles. He needs to show you an attempt was made. That was my argument. If January is useless & the summer vital. Then the right man should have been here at the start of the summer for that very reason.
Should've just paid the asking price, but they kept trying to haggle over a few million.
Seriously backing conte, not with this lot in charge.Yep exactly.
I'm happy with the players we have brought in, and can't honestly say we will miss any that have left (apart from maybe Gil), but it's still very underwhelming and o sign that the club is seriously backing Conte.
Not enough to seriously improve us but better than nothing. Happy to cut out losses with those 3 players but again it’s no good if we don’t invest it or invest it well. But more importantly doesn’t help us now with our weaknesses. I assume you meant no sign the club is seriously backing conte?Yep exactly.

I missed out an 'n'. I meant 'no sign of seriously backing Conte'.Seriously backing conte, not with this lot in charge.
By weakening the depth of our squad by 2 players, not getting any players in positions we actually needed. We bought another defensive midfielder and a winger with potential. That is not how you back a world class manager in my opinion.
I don't know of anyone else after those two players. Except maybe Villa. They were offering less than us. And if you look, we actually offered more for Kulu than his market value. Levy saw the shit is going to hit the fan and did what he had to.
The Alli deal seems so weird. Weird fee, weird fee structure, weird contract time (2.5 years).
Shame we extended lloris’s Contract, could have been a step closer to the 1m a week saved goal. We are like an episode of black mirror. The weaker and thinner our squad becomes, the better our transfer window is rated
What a perverse bunch these ENIC fanatics have become

Oh the irony...
Yeah I assumed correctly! Kulu looks interesting & lively from what little I’ve seen. Can’t remember the other one if I am honest. But we obviously need way more regardless. Selling dele is good business. But we need good players instead of good business all the time.I missed out an 'n'. I meant 'no sign of seriously backing Conte'.
